This one I am gonna have to watch just for the job that Javier Bardem is doing. Not only he is the spitting image of Escobar, he is talking with the “Paisa” accent fitting for the region of Colombia where Escobar came from.

Escobar was truly Evil. His appetite for killing was so insatiable that the police had to build a chapel to handle only funerals and it was open almost 24-7. While some in this country are bitching about Russians trying to “influence” an election by posting in Twitter, Pablo blew up a plane and had a presidential candidate shot to death to do exactly that.

If you don’t want to wait for this movie, Mark Bowden’s book, “Killing Pablo” is excellent and describes not only the person, but the terror felt by Colombians during his existence as El Jefe.
