The idea is to hook somebody to sign an initiative they will respond to (taxes on food? No! License plates more expensive? No!) and then casually get you to sign one more form while they have you all riled up. Why? Because if they were upfront about it, they would not get the signatures.

And the question remains: If your cause is so righteous, why lie?
