Never go straight home from the bank, casino, jewelry store, or any other place that would suggest you have large sums of cash or valuables on you.
Stop for a coffee.
Go to the grocery store.
Do something that make it difficult to be followed without the followers being noticed.
Give them a reason to break contact with you.
Why do police and suburban folk cast suspicious glances at urban youth?
This is why.
And totally oblivious to her surroundings..
a couple years ago at the Augusta Maine walmart this woman had her purse grabbed … she had 6GRAND in cash in it at the time…
modern day people are extremely stupid and yes, oblivious to whats around them…
I’ve gone right on by the road home if someone has been a bit too consistent in being in my rear view. It doesn’t Have to be robbers. It’s Possible to piss someone off and not even know it.
Yup.
I’ve done that a few times. Take a different turn, head into an unlikely neighborhood, consider making a stop at a police station or donut shop… so far, I haven’t had the suspicious person follow me past the first spurious turn, but one never knows what the future will bring.
And once you’ve stopped for coffee or whatever … keep looking when you resume travel, make sure they haven’t just been hanging out somewhere waiting for you to start moving again
This is why we need to get back the sense that masked == criminal.
