This is a 2-part interview that you must read. Contrary to what the Internet Legal Chest Thumpers say, you are better off doing some talking to the police after a self-defense encounter. But the issue becomes what and how to say which means you need to know what and how to say your piece. Just like accuracy or weapon presentation, you need to learn how to do it, prepare and even practice.

Making Statements Pt 2 (armedcitizensnetwork.org)

The legal cost of a trial I was told, starts somewhere in the mid six figures. George Zimmerman incurred in over $2 million in expenses. Do you have that much money in the bank? Oh, and you are not guaranteed a positive outcome even if you had the money.

  1. Some day( probably hundreds of years from now) the “law” will realize that if you did not start the fight then you were justified in defending yourself…. Some day…this is why I don’t think you should wear any clothing with sayings like FAFO, ect, or have signs on your truck or property like that as they WILL be used to paint you as “looking for a fight”… jmho

  2. I have written about this subject several time over the past few years. The element of Avoidance is two tiered, there is, Personal Conduct Avoidance and Legal Avoidance. Curby rightly addresses an essential legal element of the person’s state of mind prior to self-defense use-of-force altercation. An aggressive prosecutor will use everything in your life to manipulate the jury—-works successfully in leftist jurisdictions mostly. And in today’s socially driven, character-based, madness, where something done during the foolishness of one’s youth can be used to condemn you to hell and back, it is wise and prudent to just remain the Grey Man.

We live in a world today where everything you do, both good and bad, will be distorted in one way or the other against you, and this will be amplified according to one’s color of skin—race doesn’t really matter anymore, it’s become simpler than that. The simpletons of our society have reduced their reasoning ability down to judging everything by the color of your skin—if you’re non-minority, non-victim class and consider yourself an “Individual”……you are guilty. Period! Of something bad.

  3. Great interviews. They confirm a lot of what I am hearing from the folks that know the law, and know the police.
    Thanks for sharing the links.

  4. Probably not mentioned is that the police WILL lie to you, causing you to doubt reality, attempting to extract information. Don’t trust anything told to you.

If something is ambiguous and you modify any statements to conform to the lie you’re worse off.

Classic psychology gaslighting. They told Zimmerman his shoot was entirely caught on camera.

    1. Good point Wallphone, and if memory serves me correctly, his response was something like, ‘Really? Thank God’. Which did not mean he knew he was being deceived; he was just being honest because he was in fact telling the truth.
