Forty-nine years ago, the brave men of the Apollo 8 mission wished America a Merry Christmas from high above the Sea of Tranquility.
Nearly half a century later, many nations and world leaders have wished the people of Earth a Merry Christmas in their own ways.
Still, to this day, no other nation has ever wished mankind a Merry Christmas from orbit around the moon, and that is why this Christmas message is still (to me) the greatest of all.
