It’s hard to find anyone on board with New York Gov. Kathy Hochul’s plan to toughen the state’s bail laws, two years after they were retooled to keep people from being jailed because they are poor.

Wait? Is it a crime in New York to be poor? Do they go over your tax statements and issue warrants if you fall below certain mandates income minimums? I know poor people and they do not go to jail because their lack of high income. I do know that there are people who commit crimes, get arrested and can’t afford to make bail! They don’t have the money probably because they spent it on assorted illegal chemicals to ingest and/or suck at crimes that actually produce good amounts of cash.
What this article did trying to showcase the unfairness of the bail system, was to paint all poor people as criminals. Good job of being woke and screw up, Michelle L. Price.
