“This raises the question,” said Chryl Anderson of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, “if administrators, law enforcement and students all oppose putting loaded, hidden weapons on campuses, why are these dangerous proposals moving forward?
The rally was on a Monday morning, a time of the week when few lawmakers are in town. Activists had secured meetings with a few dozen legislative staff members and a handful of lawmakers. They also planned to deliver 12,000 postcards signed by Floridians to lawmakers, requesting they vote down the bills.

12,000 postcards? That was it? That was lame. Let me give you an example: In 2002, there was a petition to ban pig farms in Florida who raised caged pigs. It was a silly thing to do since (IIRC) there were only 2 farms in the whole state, they were small affairs, one had already quit the business and sold the farm to developers and the other fella was already retiring and the farm closed 2 months before the elections. Still, the measure made the required numbers: 8% of the total number of votes cast in the last Presidential election. That came around 600,000 petitions…..or pigs in cages that did not longer existed.
Florida: Humane Bacon and Guns… gotta love this state.
Update: This is the “crowd” of Moms making a fuss in Tallahassee.

We’ve had more people then that take a break at the Capital for a smoke.
Sometimes I wonder if Mommies Demanding Attention realize just what a joke they are.
