When I became a fan of Emerson Lake and Palmer, I got to love their version of Jerusalem and it has been in my tapes/CDs/Stream ever since.

This has also become a favorite version: Last Night of the Proms 2012 just because the people are so deeply into it is a joy to hear the collective soul behind the singing.

Fast forward to 2020 and we are suddenly under the thumb of an overblown crisis imposing truly insane rules which make a mockery of things.

This is just pitiful, no matter how outstanding the singers are. It would have been better served if they put up a sign saying “We will return when our traditional chorus is back.”
