    1. Hmm…they demanded land and they were given land and autonomy as the Israelis washed their hands of Gaza. Their response…violence and more violence. It’s like maybe their religion commands them to be this way or something.

      1. Goes both ways, abrahamic religions on both sides, both claiming the “holy land”, both with loads of evil in their holy books.

But then again do you expect them to be happy and nice if they’ve been under a repressive occupation for 65 years? Given land? It was taken from them. Autonomy? Like in prison.

They have not washed their hands of gaza, they have it locked down, isolated, and detain or murder those who would give humanitarian aid. It is guarded like a prison. One where they have overwhelming force and destroy indiscriminately at their whim.

    2. Oh, and just to not put to fine a point on it, but the Arabs signed on with Hitler and wanted the Jews killed long before there was a renewed Israel.

  1. And yet, the Vatican isn’t trying to kill them now.
And it is there fellow arabs that refuse to let them settle in their lands, forcing them to stay as refugees.

Funny, you pick the losing side in multiple wars of genocide, bad things happen to you. Maybe if the arabs calling themselves “Palestinians” (a hated term until Arafat adopted it), would become civilized, perhaps some success would come their way. If the Arabs put down their arms, peace reigns. If the Jews put down their arms, genocide. Hmmmm, let me think….that makes the Israelis the good guys.

    1. So now the palestinians are the barbarian hordes? It’s hard to get out of the abject poverty and squalor when a superior military force has had them blockaded for decades and repeatedly bombed their infrastructure to bits.

As for what would happen if the sides put down arms, that’s pure speculation, empty rhetoric. But I will note that disarming, and ending war is completely different things, there’s not a single country in the world that has divested themselves of arms.

I understand that there’s a lot of hurt feelings on both sides(understatement of the year), and that working out a peace is going to take a lot of work. I see the peace process being sabotaged repeatedly by both sides, and it’s like clockwork every Israeli election period.

Opening up for humanitarian aid is however hardly a big concession. And I don’t know, not murdering those that try to provide it would be great too.

      1. Sure seems like you have selective vision, and not a lot of logic, and no grasp of the history of the area. If someones method of dealing with reality is to toss rockets at their neighbor, of course they are going to get stomped on occasionally. Good thing the Israelis are more tolerant than me, I would have flattened that whole place LONG ago.

      2. Re: Will
Seems like all you have is projection and ad hominem. If someone’s method of dealing with reality includes killing children with sniper rifles, and bombing hospitals, of course people will retaliate.

        Both sides perpetuate the violence.

      3. Re: Jewish Marksman
There’s no lies here, this is the information age where anyone who googles terms like IDF sniper shoots children will get tons of hits, including several news articles from reputable sources. Because this is real, and a fairly common occurance, they have standing orders to shoot anyone who comes too close to the walls. Same thing with bombing hospitals, happens every time the IDF prepares a land assault. Feel free to check the facts, because they’ll back me up.
