Semi-retired like Vito Corleone before the heart attack. Consiglieri to J.Kb and AWA. I lived in a Gun Control Paradise: It sucked and got people killed. I do believe that Freedom scares the political elites.

  1. He’s thinking about going into politics, but methinks he’s chosen the wrong state to push gun control.

  2. On the waiting period thing: it’s pretty obvious that won’t affect planned shootings at all. The supposed theory is to reduce “crimes of passion”. I wonder if there are any statistics about that. It’s possible the number is non-zero (the Oklahoma hospital shooting the other day comes to mind) but my suspicion is that the number is very small.
But we know that waiting periods also kill people. There are documented cases — perhaps not many but again a non-zero number — of people in restrictive states like NJ who managed to get a gun permit for protection from an imminent threat, but then were killed while waiting for the waiting period to expire so they could actually take possession of their newly purchased defense tool.
Similarly with age limits: never mind the obvious fact that an adult should be able to buy the tools he wants to defend his family — how many murders were done with semi-auto rifles actually purchased by a person under 21? Not Sandy Hook for example: the shooter was under 21 but the purchaser was not. That was his mother, who he murdered before going to the school.

  3. I have less and less tolerance for people who are famous because they read a script telling me how to live my life.

I do not know enough about Mcahonnay (whatever… don’t care) to know whether he is qualified to make a statement on this matter, but frankly, I do not care. You starred in a few movies. And…?
