As our opponents were fond to say: “This is a good first step.”
One thing I will disagree with is the unloading (and then obviously loading) of the gun in such close and uncomfortable quarters: The less you play with it, the less the chances of you making a mistake). Personally I want to minimize any unnecessary manipulation of the firearm and also I don’t want to broadcast with my body language that a gun will remain in the car even if it is in a locked box.
Make sure you share the video’s link as far and wide as possible. Guns left unsecured in cars is still an issue we need to fix or it will be “fixed” for us by the enemy.

I agree with minimizing administrative manipulations, but since I carry a glock I like to add a minimal holster style kydex trigger guard when stowing in the lock box. This reduces the possibility of NDs when stowing/retrieving and reinforces my SOP of all holstered handguns are loaded mag+1.
I might carry two revolvers in my truck console. They might be loaded at all times.
Why do I carry two revolvers in my truck console ? Because Josey Wales carried four revolvers and I cannot get four revolvers in there comfortably.
