I know of one department that transitioned from Berettas to officers choice of several other semi-autos. Each officer had to spend 40 hours doing weapons familiarization and range time to make the change. So, no, three days is probably not ‘too much’. Then again, that department requires a minimum of 800 rounds fired per year………………..
