I have written several posts about what I call the gun maker blood libel.

That is the talking point the Democrats use that the firearms industry fights against gun control because it is at best indifferent to and at worst supportive of mass shootings and the deaths of children, simply because they want money.

Usually, this is put as “profits over lives” or something similar.

There are many reasons this dehumanizing language is ugly, but I am now growing more concerned with it.

We have seen members of the NYPD harassed, with water and food thrown on them while trying to do their jobs.

During yesterday’s Philadelphia gunfight, some people were harassing the cops while they were trying to capture the suspect that shot six officers.

Last month, a man associated with Antifa tried to firebomb an ICE center in Tacoma, Washington.

On Tuesday, there was a politically motivated shooting at an ICE office in San Antonio, Texas.

Then there were death threats leveled against the San Antonio donors to Donald Trump, publicized by Congressman Joaquin Castro on Twitter.

With the gun maker blood libel, what is next?

Are we going to start seeing harassment and perhaps even violence directed at gun maker or gun store employees?

I can picture that, especially if any gun ban legislation fails to make it through the Senate when they reconvene.

  1. My wife thinks I am conspiracy theorist nut job when I tell her that a civil war of some kind is coming. Granted, even I do not believe it will be a Balken level conflict, but there is going to be a whole lot of violent clashes, blood, and probably some outright murders before this is over.

And the people stoking the flames of this somehow think they are not at fault. They believe that for some reason, they can say whatever inflammatory rhetoric they want, and no one will take it as permission to commit an act of violence. Yet, if someone on the other side of the political aisle says the wrong word, it is a dog whistle calling the troops to violence. (An attitude that is fanning the flames of the upcoming civil war, I might add.)

Philly may be the spark that starts it smoldering. Already people are being reminded of Ferguson. What will it take, one, maybe two, people of color shot by police during the commission of a crime before anti-cop sentiment hits the boiling point? One or two more attacks on police and they may stop responding to inner city crime. Which will only serve to verify their belief that the cops are only racist pigs that want to see them dead. From there, it becomes a self fulfilling prophecy.

  2. In there mind gun makers and gun stores enable gun ownership therefore all gun makers are nazi far right subhuman animals that we must destroy by any means necessary. They are not human and therefore should not be afforded human rights and killing is the proper action to take. However they are by nature cowards and will hope someone else do it for them. One gunshot aimed at there mob and they scatter like rabbits.

I can imagine the far left idiots actually trying to shoot people in a gun store. Probably won’t go well for them. Or course they’d be more likely to firebomb it or follow them home and ‘protest’ by trying to break into there homes. Then trying to press charges with police (which they also hate) not understanding what a castle doctrine is and that they can’t deny being there because there mask was removed.
