Yes, we have readers in this blog that are against vaccination and about the same number in favor of the shots. Debates in the comments have been lively but never stupid (OK, maybe a comment or two qualify as last). But this latest vaccine panic? 

LONDON — The coronavirus vaccine developed by AstraZeneca and the University of Oxford has now been suspended in a number of countries across Europe and Asia, following reports of blood clots in some vaccinated people. Many other nations, however, have defended their use of the shot and said they will continue their respective inoculation campaigns.

And how many thousands of people have suddenly become ill because of clots crated by the vaccine?

As of Wednesday, around 5 million people in Europe had received the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine. Of this figure, 30 cases of so-called “thromboembolic events” have been reported. These cases refer to blood clots forming in the blood vessels and blocking blood flow.

Are you effing kidding me? You suspend a vaccination because 0.0006% of those who got it reported developing clots? Who are the medical experts who concluded the vaccine was too much of a risk for clots that they rather have  100% of the people do without it than 99.9994% of the people get it without getting clots?

The worse part? People are applauding this decision and demanding a 100% Free Risk solution.

Bookcase project finished

And the missus is happy that all the books that were peppering the living room are now properly gathered in a fitting vessel. Most of the books fit the shelf height, except some that were coffee table size. Those were placed a top of the case.

Due to our flooring I had to shimmy the bookcase so it would stop wiggling. One change already thought is making the base the full 12 inches rather than just the 10 inches of the side boards for increased stability.

In other times, I would have laughed at myself and comment that I would have that filled before Labor Day, probably earlier. But I have become much more selective on my reading and even ditching some books I did not care for in after reading them (I donate them to the local library) So I feel I will not fill this sucker as fast. Worse case scenario, I get to make sawdust again for fun.

Since the Biden Justice Department is no longer prosecuting Antifa, arson is again in the menu

And the most thoughtful Mayor in the country is reaping with interests all the good  intentions he had for Social Justice.

Will behavior like this expand to other cities? Bet yer butt it will. Let us not forget the Derek Chauvin trial which just started in Minneapolis and which no matter the verdict, it will make for some beautiful looting and burning just because it will be “morally” permissible to do so.

I don’t know your house, but mine ain’t protected by a squadron of heavily protected Federal agents not it has barricades with razor on top. It has only me and the missus and whatever means we choose to protect ourselves from being burned alive.

Another O’Sullivan officer outs himself

This was a segment from Tucker Carlson:

The Left is pushing far-Left social change hard in the military.

This is from the pledge taken by Navy Task Force 1:

“I pledge to advocate for and acknowledge all lived experiences and intersectional identities of every Sailor in the Navy.”

Because Tucker pointed out the absurdity of what is going on in the military, he had to be attacked by the members of the military who are doing this.

One officer, in particular, decided that the best way to demonstrate how the military is an open and tolerant organization was to call for the banning of FOX News from all military bases, which are very explicitly government institutions.

I guess someone took him aside and reminded him that a military officer calling for media censorship as a military officer was a bad look.

But he still said it.

That’s the problem right there.  Now every male officer will be forced to celebrate having pregnant combat aviators or will be drummed out for being misogynists.

“Did you deny another sailor’s lived experience of being traumatized by a Tucker Carlson segment?”

In Biden’s military, you will be Woke or you will not be in it for that long.

Go Woke, Go Broke is a hard and fast rule, it applies to the military just as much as any other organization.

Remember when I said that the decreasing trust in our military was a feature not a bug?

Here it comes with a vengeance.

Again, I agree with Antifa skin that smoke-wagon and squeeze it

I’m reminded a little bit of this scene from Tombstone:

 

Nobody tells someone with a gun to “pull it” or “throw down” if they had the slightest inkling that the guy with the gun would actually skin it and start slotting motherfuckers.

Antifa is cocksure because they know that no matter what they do, the Portland Police will not fire for effect.  The police might as well leave their guns at home.

That’s why they do things like this, celebrate when they smash the windows of a courthouse.

Here a security guard draws his gun and watch how the crowd immediately falls back, but as soon as they realize he’s not going to fire they move in an attack again.

There is only one remedy for this.

Put the fear of dying and going to hell into Antifa by demonstrating that you are willing and able to kill them.  That means that when some Antifa punk sticks his arm into a door that the police are trying to lock while yelling “pull it,” an officer pulls it and turns said Antifa punk’s head into a fucking canoe.
