Horse Performance

If you are enough of a firearms enthusiast to be a regular reader of this blog, by now you probably heard that Gaston Glock, founder of Glock Pistols, has died at the age of 94.

My wife showed me a video on TikTok made a while back about Glock.

It’s funny.

Glock makes some things that have very weird crossover.

The truth behind the Glock horse inseminator is a tale as old as time.

A ancient billionaire divorces his old house frau…

And marries a banging hot younger woman…

A younger woman who really likes horses…

And apparently the cost of inseminating her is facilitating inseminating horses.

That’s why there is a Glock horse breeding facility in Austria.

Who I really feel bad for is the unlucky Glock engineer.

See, I’ve worked for engineering companies while owned by one dude, and what that dude gets a wild hair up his ass, it’s his prerogative to have his engineering team solve it.

So, I completely believe that somewhere in Austria, some poor Glock engineer had this conversation:

“Hans, I’m taking you off the subcompact 9mm.”

“Yes, Mr. Glock. Are we going to submit something to the United States Army Modular Handgun System solicitation?”

“Yes Hans, but that’s not what you’re being assigned to.”

“Of course, Mr. Glock.”

“This is something of a special project.”

“Yes, Mr. Glock. What is it?”

“A horse semen collector.”

It just makes me glad that the Germans I work for don’t have mistresses into horses.

Merry Christmas, Happy Hannukah, Joyous Yuletide, and all the rest!

Hi everyone!

I want to apologize for not being on in the past… (looks at the editor, swears softly)… month. I’ve been ill, and during the last 2.5 weeks, I’ve pretty much been unable to see to type thanks to a sinus infection. I’m much better now (thank you, modern medicine!), and hope to get posting some juicy stuff in the near future.

Is there anything that you’d like commentary on? I can think of several topics I could touch on… Presidential candidates, current TikTok/Social Media bull cookies going around, education in America, the war in the Ukraine, the war in Gaza, etc. Are there any topics you’d like a more left-leaning point of view about?

Blessings of the season to all of you, and may you have quiet and peaceful holidays and holy days.

Hagar

The increasing importance of concealed-carry

From the Police Executive Research Forum: Responding to the Staffing Crisis: Innovations in Recruitment and Retention.

These graphs:

That’s a huge problem.

Officers are retiring. Many are quitting and leaving law enforcement all together. The number of new applicants is down.

There is a massive shortage in Police in cities, and it’s only getting worse.

Violent crime is increasing, and response times are getting longer.

Reloading: From Start To Complete – Part 11

(Word 4400>

Choose what you are going to reload

I will be reloading 5.56×45, 9×19, and .45 ACP.

Acquire The Tools You Need

Get your reloading Bible(s)!!!!

Because this is my first time reloading, I chose the Lee Precision Anniversary Challenger Kit. This gets me a single stage press, powder scale, some brass prep tools, on press priming, powder throw, funnel and more.

To this, I add a pair of dial calibers, no name will do ok. A Deluxe Quick Trim Case Trimmer. The quick trim die for 5.56×45. And a Lee universal decapping die.

Finally, I pick up a wet tumbler, media, a set of sieves, and a trickler.

Because I read AWA’s articles, I purchase Redding dies for 5.56×45, 9mm, and .45ACP.

Picking Boom Stuff

Power is difficult to get at times, looking at the recipes and costs, I decide on Titegroup for my pistol calibers and Ramshot TAC for the 5.56×45.

The Titegroup seems to be an ok powder. There are many recipes for pistol calibers that use it.

NOTE: Powder choices are very personal. Please do your own research. This is not a recommendation for either of these powders.

The recipe that I’m using comes from Hodgdon’s.
