Newsom defends California business climate, says richest ‘doing pretty damn well’

Gov. Gavin Newsom forcefully pushed back Friday on criticisms that California is becoming unfriendly for business, pointing to “all the new billionaires” created by initial public offerings and noting that its richest people are “doing pretty damn well.”

Who cares if the middle-class is dying and running away, the tech millionaires are becoming billionaires and the tech billionaires are breaking records, and that’s all that matters.

Biden team plans inauguration night celebrity TV special

President-elect Joe Biden’s inaugural committee is producing a television special for the night of his inauguration next week in lieu of the normal in-person festivities, an official familiar with the plans told POLITICO.

The prime-time event will air on broadcast channels ABC, CBS and NBC but not Fox. Cable news networks CNN and MSNBC will carry it live. Fox News will not.

The 90-minute program, hosted by Tom Hanks and beginning at 8:30 p.m., will include performances by Demi Lovato, Justin Timberlake, Ant Clemons and Jon Bon Jovi. Besides the celebrities, the program, dubbed “Celebrating America,” will “spotlight American heroes,” according to a description of the event.

Biden’s inauguration celebration will be a gaudy, star-studded event, on par with the Oscars.

Why AOC says she didn’t feel safe around her colleagues during Capitol riot

When angry supporters of President Donald Trump, many armed, stormed the Capitol last Wednesday, the congresswoman said she “had a very close encounter where I thought I was going to die,” though she didn’t detail the incident, citing security reasons.

“All of these thoughts come rushing to you,” she said. “I did not know if I was going to make it to the end of the day — and not just in a general sense but also in a very, very specific sense.”

Some members of Congress huddled in “a secure extraction point,” but Ocasio-Cortez said she didn’t feel safe joining because “QAnon and white supremacist sympathizers, and frankly white supremacist members of Congress in that extraction point, who I know, and who I had felt would disclose my location… who would create opportunities to allow me to be hurt, kidnapped.”

“I didn’t even feel safe around other members of Congress, and to be kind of fending for yourself in that way is traumatizing,” she said.

She is accusing other members of Congress of being white supremacists and saying that they would deliberately allow her be be harmed by the mob.

That is a very serious accusation.

AOC Slams Republicans for Playing Victim While Posting Images With Guns Next to Dems

Democratic Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York has criticized Republicans in Congress for complaining about the new House metal detectors, noting that at least one Republican has previously posted an image of themselves holding a gun next to Democrats.

“It’s almost as though GOP members promoting videos of themselves illegally carrying firearms on Capitol grounds, posting images of themselves holding guns next to Democratic members, & inciting an attack on the Capitol has consequences! Naturally, GOP are crying & playing victim,” Ocasio-Cortez tweeted Tuesday.

Not illegally carrying guns.  Members of Congress can carry in the Capitol.  It is a special privilege they enjoy.

Also, if anyone is as expert at playing the victim, it’s AOC.

The Democrats are pissed as shit that they lost seats in the House.

They are going to try and even the score by ejecting House Republicans.

From there they could do a lot while States scramble to hold special elections and fill vacancies.

AOC saying that she’s scared of gun carrying Republicans who were going to hand her over to a mob is something they can use to oust members of Congress .

They are going nuclear.

How did America come apart?  First slowly, then all at once.

If you missed the news, one of protestors/rioters of the Capitol had Zip-Tie handcuffs with him.  I’m assuming to make a “citizen’s arrest” of members of Congress.  He’s been arrested but his picture has gone viral.

This is an actual person wondering why civilians need Zip-Ties.

She is clearly assuming Zip-Tie handcuffs are the same as Zip-Tie cable ties and therefore have no civilian applications and should be banned.

A Congressman on the intelligence committee, who lied about having evidence that Trump colluded with Putin to win the 2016 election and was informed by the FBI that he was putting his dick in a Chinese Communist honeypot, is on the leadership team to impeach the President.

By removing as many Republican Congresspeople as possible.

Rep. Mikie Sherrill (D., N.J.) has gone public with an extraordinary allegation against some of her colleagues that they conducted secret surveillance in a conspiracy with rioters at the Capitol. If true, those members could be criminally charged and expelled from the House. Conversely, if Sherrill has no such evidence, she could (and should) face a resolution of censure or resolution.
Sherrill said in a Tuesday night Facebook live address to her constituents that she witnessed the surveillance personally. She said unidentified members of Congress “had groups coming through the Capitol” in “a reconnaissance for the next day.” Sherrill pledged to see those lawmakers “are held accountable, and if necessary, ensure that they don’t serve in Congress.”

No evidence is needed. She just needs to level the accusation, whisper “in secret” who she thinks did what and let the lynching mob do the rest. Soon mobs will be posted outside the homes of certain member of congress (who will suddenly will no longer rate any protection), Social Media banning them from their platforms and other goodies to just scare them to death into inaction.  This is pure, 100% unadulterated Socialist shit like I have seen before in Venezuela.

I do believe the Democrats will outperform dear old Hugo Chavez in their quest for absolute power.  At least Hugo took 2 and a half years to take  Venezuela in the shithole highway. At this rate, I believe Pelosi and Company will be doing the same before Labor Day.
