NSSF’s Safely Transporting a Gun: Not their best effort.

NSSF does a fantastic job when it comes to gun safety, but as the kids say nowadays, the caca the bed on this one…twice.

First cringe:

“Make sure you have a fully lockable case and TSA compliant lock.”

NO! Period! Full stop!

Quoting TSA:

 Only the passenger should retain the key or combination to the lock unless TSA personnel request the key to open the firearm container to ensure compliance with TSA regulations. You may use any brand or type of lock to secure your firearm case, including TSA-recognized locks.

I still do not know why this myth of gun cases need to be locked with TSA-compliant locks. I can go on about statistics related to theft at airports, but I am better off just showing you why it is a bad idea to have TSA locks: You can buy the master keys.

 

And then we go to cringe part 2. I don’t think I need to explain much, do I?

It is the Four Rules, not the four suggestions.

In New York City, de Blasio’s targeting of the Jewish community has led to this sort of specious harassment.

It’s Socialism 101, when all else fails, blame the Jews.

The New Libertarian Flag

J. Kb sent me this for the Friday Funnies, but I believe it deserves its own post.

I am going to guess that about 80% of the people that say are Libertarians in all of its variations, are so because it is a fashionable thing to say and not because they actually are Libertarians.  They memorize a few slogans and regurgitate them during discussions as if those are the last words anybody need to hear and anything else is just a waste of time.

One of those slogans is that private companies can do what they want.  This has come up with the brutal wave of censorships against the Right and even Libertarians from the Social Media & Internet Monopoly/Oligopoly and so-called Libertarians jump to defend them because as private companies, they cannot be touched according to the dogma of what they think is Libertarianism.

When you violate inherent rights, you do not get a pass because you do not belong to the government or were elected for office. You do not get a amnesty if you commit mala in se crimes because you trade in the New York Exchange. It is not private property that is evil, it is unchecked monopoly that causes problems.

Seven years ago, I reviewed a book which covered a novel (for me back then) principle: Monopoly on Killing. In the book, it rallied against Stand Your Ground and Self Defense by stating that it was only the government the one entity that could legally do homicide.  We as gun owners, obviously know that is asinine and deadly for all the implications that has. An unchecked and unopposed government can bring death as it pleases and does not need to be right under that monopoly. And the same slide to departing from serving people applies for any other aspect of life we do not have checks and balances in that monopoly power. Post office anyone?

And if the government, full of fallible people, will manage to screw up a monopoly and turn it against the people it should serve, why should we expect that people in a private monopoly will do impeccable and without any violations to fellow people just because they have the Seal of Private Property? Absolute power and the rest of the quote comes to mind.

I expect disagreements in the comments, but please politely and without slogans. I am sick of them by now with this being election times.

It’s said that a conservative is a liberal who’s been mugged.

Rapper 50cent just saw Cuomo and Biden hiding behind a dumpster to jump him, kick the shit out of him, and rob him blind.

Welcome to the low tax club, if you apply for full conservative membership you get gun and free speech rights too.

I figured that he will join the rest of the way soon as his opinion is garnering quite a lot of race hatred from Progressives for leaving the Plantation where he’s expected to give 62% of his labors to the government master.

Wealthy CNN talking head advocates for dekulakization

Those guys with their fishing boats and dune buggies who are just selfish and don’t want to pay more in taxes, they are rich, screw them.

Except they are not

Who are they?

Well, I can tell you who they are in Huntsville.  Most of them are engineers or technicians in the defense and aerospace industry.  Salaries range from $35/hour for aerospace technologist (CMM operator or machinist who works in a NADCAP facility) to $150K for a mid career systems engineer.

They have a house in the suburbs and drive an F-150.  They own a side-by-side or bass boat they got at Cabela’s for hunting or fishing.  The worked hard to achieve that white collar or gray collar middle to upper middle class lifestyle.

Education is generally a four year technical degree or very specialized technical training (e.g. avionics or radar systems).

Under normal conditions they would be the salt of the earth professional middle class that so many people aspire to become.

But because they support Trump, they are the evil rich.

I am one of these people, although right now my side-by-side money is going to daycare, but one day I want to buy one.

Last year I paid roughly $26K in federal income taxes alone. Just me.

I put in the effort that I do to be able to enjoy a certain quality of life.  I pay my taxes but it’s not my job to work to fund the Democratic party buying votes with government handouts.  That seems to be Don Lemon’s and Chris Cuomo’s supposition.

It is especially egregious considering that they make $4 million and $6 million respectively.

Those two work a couple of hours a day spewing shit out if their lying lie holes and make millions and they want middle class professionals to forego the bass boat they worked hard for their adult lives to be able to buy.

I wonder if this is a message that will attract people to Biden or drive them to Trump.

I for one believe that after 11 years of school and four years as an EIT, I earned the salary I have today and I’m not going to be made to feel like shit that I chose to buy myself a toy instead of feeding the bureaucratic beast with it.

Fuck them.
