A reminder of what the US Marshals service does

In Portland, we were told that the US Marshals Service were Nazis, white supremacists, and Trump’s private army.  They were traitors who were making innocent protesters disappear and were engaging in stolen valor, wearing military uniforms while violating their Constitutional oaths.

Here is a little reminder of why the US Marshals Service is a force for good in the United States.

U.S. Marshals Find DOZENS of Missing Children in Georgia

The U.S. Marshals Service Missing Child Unit, in conjunction with the agency’s Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) and Georgia state and local agencies, led a two-week operation in August in Atlanta and Macon, Georgia, to rescue endangered missing children.

“Operation Not Forgotten” resulted in the rescue of 26 children, the safe location of 13 children and the arrest of nine criminal associates. Additionally, investigators cleared 26 arrest warrants and filed additional charges for alleged crimes related to sex trafficking, parental kidnapping, registered sex offender violations, drugs and weapons possession, and custodial interference. The 26 warrants cleared included 19 arrest warrants for a total of nine individuals arrested, some of whom had multiple warrants.

These missing children were considered to be some of the most at-risk and challenging recovery cases in the area, based on indications of high-risk factors such as victimization of child sex trafficking, child exploitation, sexual abuse, physical abuse, and medical or mental health conditions. Other children were located at the request of law enforcement to ensure their wellbeing. USMS investigators were able to confirm each child’s location in person and assure their safety and welfare.

Rescuing dozens of missing children from sex trafficking and sexual predators.

Part of me says this is probably why the Democrats turned the mob against the Marshals Service, the Marshals were busing up the Hollywood/Clinton teenage sex slave pipeline.  But that’s just me being a little too cynical.

The critical two seconds for Kyle Rittenhouse

Of all the video that has been shown of Kyle Rittenhouse, I think these two seconds, shown in this Tweet are perhaps the most important.

https://twitter.com/firstcitizensam/status/1299087825854316549

First of all (and this has nothing to do with the rest of this post), holy shit!

That camera angle captures the exact moment where a human bicep turns to mist.  Actual mist. A cloud of aerosolized arm.

Gaige Grosskreutz is a lucky man, had that bullet been one inch lower it would have severed his humeroradial joint and blown his arm off.

You can also tell the complete and utter shock that Mr. Grosskreutz experienced at getting shot.  The way he jumps and turns away.

That is the crucial point of that video.

Antifa and the activist media Left are pushing the narrative that Kyle Rittenhouse was there to commit murder.

But when Mr. Rittenhouse had the drop on Mr. Grosskreutz, spraying part of his upper arm into the Wisconsin night air, Mr. Grosskreutz turned and fled and Mr. Rittenhouse DID NOT shoot him in the back.

The threat was retreating and there was no need for a followup shot.

Furthermore, you notice that the guy to the right of Mr. Grosskreutz immediately puts his hands up and Mr. Rittenhouse does not point his rifle at him.  Again, if as Antifa says, he was there to cause casualties, his control after he fired to do a threat assessment is contradictory to someone there to commit a mass shooting.

Those two seconds, I believe more than any other segment of video, truly demonstrate that this was self-defense and not premeditated murder.

Seattle sued over CHOP, discovery will be fun

From King 5 Seattle:

Father of man killed inside Seattle’s CHOP zone files $3 billion in claims against city, county, state

The father of a man shot and killed inside Seattle’s Capitol Hill Organized Protest (CHOP) zone in June has filed three claims against local government amounting to $3 billion.

Horace Anderson, the father of 19-year-old Horace Lorenzo Anderson, filed claims Thursday against the city of Seattle, King County, and Washington state over the death of his son inside the CHOP zone.

The claim alleged that the actions and “inactions” by the local government are responsible for creating a “hazardous, and lawless situation” that resulted in the man’s death, according to a statement released by the Oshan & Associates, P.C., the law firm representing Anderson.

IANAL, but it is my understanding that qualified immunity protects city councils and state legislators.

However, I believe there are ways around qualified immunity when the protected person violates “clearly established statutory or constitutional rights of which reasonable person would have known.”

So does allowing rioters to take over an area of the city, essentially seceding it from the union to be taken over by a warlord, violate the “clearly established statutory or constitutional rights of which reasonable person would have known.”

I don’t know.  Lawyers and judges will have to hash this out.

I just hope it goes on long enough for discovery to take place.

I really want to know what the Seattle city government and Washington state government had to say about the CHAZ/CHOP while it was happening.

That needs to become public information.
