Attention Florida: How effective was the 2A March in Richmond?
As much as I liked the demonstration, the reality of things told us it was too little, too desperately late. Virginia will be a California of the East and I don’t think anything can be done to stop it. The March was an absolute waste of time as influencing the legislature or the Governor.
Let this be a warning to Floridians: We have a crapload of bad laws, some even worse than these in the committees right now. START CONTACTING ALL THE REPRESENTATIVES FROM THOSE COMMITTEES!
You have the resources on the right hand side of the blog: USE THEM.
A lot of legislators will term out this year (why I am so scared, some already cashed the checks and don’t give a flock) and we need good replacements that understand their re-election is in our hands and that our former governor and now dear Senator Scott barely won the seat because too many of us were pissed off.
And for the love of God, go vote!

What we have found out since Hurricane Maria killed more Americans since 9/11 was that the government of Puerto Rico actively worked against the residents of the island.
The government hid water, threw away MRE’s, and hoarded supplies in warehouses.
They did it to line their pockets, gain credit with the #Resistance for making Trump look bad, and to ultimately exercise control over the people.
It is not an understatement to say that this is Soviet levels of corruption and maliciousness by government officials.
The FBI has done some investigations which ideally should lead to some prosecutions.
The problem with this is that the Left in the United States will rush to defend the corrupt and malicious government of Puerto Rico as victims of Trump’s racism and actors without culpability because they are brown and Hispanic.
Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez already started down this path.
What is happening in Puerto Rico is horrifying.

Considering this, I am very happy to let the US government not intervene and let the Puerto Rican people start lopping off government officials’ heads.
If after that, they want to declare independence from the US, I fully support that too.
When a government actively starves its citizens to death for political reasons, being sent to a comfy minimum security prison for a few years isn’t a proportional punishment.
Having the last thing they see be the stumps of their own necks as their heads roll down the street before a jeering crowd is.

A friend of mine and a life long dedicated member of the gun industry lost his young son earlier this week.
I don’t have much detail other than it happened while he was at SHOT.

In the formerly Great Britain: Chop a cop with a machete, get a slap on the wrist.
Handyman Muhammad Rodwan, 56, who launched the ferocious machete attack on Pc Outten, was found guilty at the Old Bailey of wounding with intent but not guilty of attempted murder.
He was also cleared of possession of an offensive weapon. He had argued that, as a handyman, he used his machete as a tool.
Rodwan, who has previous convictions for rape and two machete attacks, claimed he acted in self defence, telling police: “My life is worth more than his life.”

Pc Outten was lucky that his taser worked as advertised and managed to stop the attack, but no without consequences.
The attack left him with six wounds to the head, skull fractures, arm injuries and broken figures – after a simple request to stop for a traffic offence.
His attacker got only sentenced for “wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm.” Sentence to be given this coming Friday (I’ll try to update)

The true outcome of the Democrats plan for college
Some dad had the opportunity to embarrass both Senator Warren and his daughter at the same time and took it.
Of course, he’s right.
Warren tried to explain her plan, there is no need to do that either.
I know exactly what will happen the week after the Democrats open a Dakota Access Pipeline size money tube directly into the university system and cut ou the student and parents as a middle man.
Pournelle’s iron law of bureaucracy will kick into full effect.
The Iron law of bureaucracy states “In any bureaucracy, the people devoted to the benefit of the bureaucracy itself always get in control and those dedicated to the goals the bureaucracy is supposed to accomplish have less and less influence, and sometimes are eliminated entirely.”
Mark my words, this will happen:
Colleges and Universities: “We need more money.”
Taxpayers: “We just gave you a shit load of money.”
Colleges and Universities: “But we need money for labs and professors.”
Taxpayers: “Fire some of those useless fucking 937 deans you have that don’t teach a single class between them.”
Colleges and Universities: “We can’t do that. We need a Dean of Diversity and Inclusion, a Dean of Authentic Ethnic Dining, a Dean of Transgender Menstruation Supplies, a Dean of Campus Safe Spaces, a Dean of Anti-Racism and Post-Colonial Housing, a Dean of … etc.”
Taxpayers: “Why doesn’t the government fix this?”
Senator who has a wife/child/sibling that is a Dean: “Ok, we’ll raise your taxes to give the schools more money.”
Every College in America will end up with a faculty of nothing but administrators that don’t teach and one old codger of a professor that can’t be fired because he has tenure and is too stubborn to die.
