Because they are so dumb, not only they have a stupid John Wayne strategy but they are stupid enough that they prepare and serve the evidence for the prosecution.

It seems the dumb asses still have not realized that their interactions in this Facebook Florida Gun Group is evidence obtainable for an investigation and eventual trial.

The part the ticked me off is that there were people who actually gave both warnings but went mostly ignored.

Be very careful and very choosy where you get your legal advice from.  I am sure that none of the Idjits above have been in court defending somebody, much less successfully and sure as hell none of them will show up to back your sorry ass in court for following their advice, specially if they are themselves under court proceedings for murder.

Oregon authorities are seeking a would-be thief who was armed with a hatchet when he tried to rob a convenience store, only to flee when the clerk drew a gun and called 911.

However, the clerk’s quick thinking cost him his job, with the president of Plaid Pantry in Oak Grove explaining to local station KOIN-TV that the chain has a zero-tolerance policy for weapons.

He said employees are trained to de-escalate robbery situations to avoid injury, according to the station.

You may think I am picky, but the clerk did de-escalated the situation. He displayed his sidearm and the thief go pretty peaceful and even surrendered his hatchet. Nobody got hurt!

Man paralyzed by concealed carry holder in 2017 dies from injuries, police say

A south suburban quadriplegic who died at a suburban hospital over the weekend succumbed to injuries he suffered in 2017, when he was shot and paralyzed by a concealed carry permit holder in the city’s Calumet Heights neighborhood on the South Side, authorities said.

Oh no, how horrible.  How could that have happened?  How could did some irresponsible jackass get a carry permit and shoot someone in the spine?

Illinois needs to do something about that.

Brian Ford, 20, was pronounced dead Saturday at Ingalls Memorial Hospital in Harvey, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office. An autopsy performed Wednesday showed that Ford died from a gunshot wound to the neck, along with complications of quadriplegia, according to the agency.

What a terrible way to die, this is just a tragedy.

Ford’s injury stemmed from a Dec. 12, 2017, shooting that began with the then-18-year-old pulling his own gun on a 27-year-old man driving his vehicle into a rear yard in the 9100 block of South Harper Avenue, according to Chicago police.

The older man, a concealed carry holder, pulled his own firearm and shot the victim, police said. Ford was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn for treatment and was later charged with felony aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and misdemeanor aggravated assault. But the case against Ford was dropped by Cook County prosecutors nine days after his first court hearing.

Wait, what?

The guy who died was a criminal who drew his illegal weapon on the Concealed Carry Permit holder first?

So it was a scumbag criminal who got shot and died?

And the Chicago Tribune wants me to feel sorry for him?  Fuck that noise.

So I did a quick Google search and found a website called Gun Violence Archive.  It has a page for the original incident.

Charges filed against man shot by victim in attempted robbery

Charges have been filed against an 18-year-old man who pointed a gun at another man, prompting the victim to shoot and critically wound him early Tuesday in the South Side Calumet Heights neighborhood.

The 27-year-old man was pulling his vehicle into a backyard lot shortly after 2 a.m. in the 9100 block of South Harper when 18-year-old Brian Ford, of the Englewood neighborhood, walked up and pointed a gun at him, according to Chicago Police.

The 27-year-old concealed carry permit holder, who feared “he may become a victim of a battery,” pulled out his own weapon and shot Ford in the chest, police said.

Ford was taken in critical condition to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, police said. He has since been charged with a felony count of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and a misdemeanor count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Police initially referred to the incident as an attempted robbery.

Ford’s bail was set at $50,000 on Thursday while he remained hospitalized, according to Cook County Sheriff’s Office records. His next court date was scheduled for Tuesday.

The original reporting on the story shows that the shooter was an innocent victim of either an attempted robbery or assault who shot his assailant.

There is no evidence that the shooter was charged with any crime, I can’t even find his name.

So what we have here is a clear cut good shoot by a concealed carry permit holder and the bad guy took two years to die, and the Chicago Tribune writes the headline to damn the permit holder and extract sympathy for the criminal.

What utter biased bullshit.

And they wonder why newspapers across America are failing.

This shit is why.
