Cartoonist doesn’t understand reality

Feast your eyes on this garbage:

Let’s break this down.

The government clearly violated the Constitutional rights of this gun owning citizen.

He states that he will resist the violation of his rights.

The government kills him in a drone strike.

The entire thesis of this cartoon is “tyrannical might makes right.”

The government can violate your rights and then assassinate you with a drone, so all you should do is acquiesce to their tyranny.

I don’t accept that.

Moreover, the cartoonist just loves the idea of his political enemies being idiots that get slaughtered in drone strikes.

The Left has never come across a problem that the preferred solution isn’t exterminating some particular group of people.

But once again, I am compelled to point out that the tactic of “kill them with a drone strike” that has been used with such effect in the Middle East only worked because the drone pilot’s family, and probably the drone pilots too, were not neighbors to the people being drone struck.

Does the cartoonist really want to celebrate some American gun owner being killed in a drone strike, when the cartoonist’s personal information is probably readily available to the friends and loved ones of the dead gun owner?

They think this will be idiot gun owners homes getting hit with Hellfires and everything going swimmingly afterwards.

That have no idea what war is like when the people doing and cheering on the deaths of Americans send their kids to the same school as the people they want dead.

Things get ugly under those circumstances.

“But HE said it first!”

I want to talk about writing and speaking tactics for getting information to “the other side.”  I have noticed, both in some of the articles and in many of the comments on GFZ, that people are fairly liberal in their use of name calling. I’ve noticed that it’s been a bit of a trend over the past six to ten years. It’s not a trend that I like.

When I first moved to the States, I was expecting to run into “rude rednecks” all around me. Imagine my surprise when said “rednecks” turned out to be polite, well spoken, and for the most part, educated and intelligent. I quickly learned that the people I was most concerned about, that the liberal folks of the north had feared, were the people who were the most ready to help someone who was in need.

Fast forward to ten years ago. I had long come to understand that the Right were fairly polite except for a few extremists that no one liked. I had come to a personal understanding that the Left were only polite to their own, and even then it was iffy, but they often couched that lack of politeness with pretty words. I was disappointed, surely, but I started slowly moving to the Right.

And then Trump got into office, and something changed. Suddenly, the people who I had come to know as being well spoken and softly polite were not, anymore. They began using some pretty nasty tactics to rile up “the other side.” One of those tactics was name calling.

For the past twenty years, I have been calling out people on the Left for indulging in name calling and petty behavior. People who mocked Bush for his ears or for misspelling potato, people who attacked Trump because of his weight or his hair, these were people that I roundly denounced. I culled my friends vigorously, removing those who would use that kind of base rudeness to lash out at “the other side.”

Now I’m seeing it, more and more, from the Right. Boy, it bothers me. It bothers me more than it does from the Left, if I want to be honest. My movement from Left to Right has been slow, and due to people like Awa and others who I trust and who have taken the time to teach me. I expect more from the Right, and the Right is now letting me down.

What I need you to understand is that you are not ever going to sway the people who are far Left. It’s not going to happen. More than anything else, they just don’t read what you have to say. They’ve muted you, deleted you from their FB friends list, and they avoid you. You’re not talking to them. You don’t need to sway those on the Right. They already side with you. Your target audience is ME.

And you’re losing me.

By giving in and using the tactics used by the Left, the Right is going to lose this fight. Those of us who’ve slowly been migrating Right are now pulling back. We’re taking a close look at you, and making decisions.

Believe me when I say, I have no interest in Biden or Harris, or in the Left bull cookies that are currently being spread around. I very much want to see a solid Second Amendment, and I want to see the First Amendment protected as befits its place as first. I want to see each and every child in the country taught about the Constitution both as an historical document and as a living document.

But you are shooting yourselves in the foot when you lower yourself to using the Left’s nasty tactics. Every time I see someone on the Right call Biden by some insulting name, I withdraw further. If you want to call him inept, ineffective, medically unsound, I’ll stand beside you and hold a sign with you. Those are truths. But the insulting, the name calling, the stooping into the muck? No. That’s not truth, it’s anger. If you let your anger rule you, you lose.

I don’t think the Right can prevail over the Left if it continues to fight in the same way it has for the last five decades. But I KNOW the Right cannot win this if they lower themselves to the Left’s level. All it does is push away the people like myself who want to know more, who are beginning to see that the Left’s carefully crafted lies are unraveling.

Awa will tell you, I was hesitant to write this column (From Behind Enemy Lines). I don’t use my real name, and I’m hiding in my anonymity. That hurts, just to be clear. I’ve always despised those who hide behind shields. But it’s the only way I was willing to write here. Because I don’t want to be splattered with whatever it is you’re slinging at the Left this week. I no longer feel safe enough around the Right to speak my mind openly.

Read that one again: I no longer feel SAFE ENOUGH around the Right to speak openly.

I realize it isn’t your job to make me feel safe. I really do. However, if your aim is to convert people like me to the Right, to lure me in because y’all have good cookies, then you just cannot be handing out cow pies and claiming they are cookies. It doesn’t work.

The Left has worn me down until I really just expect them to twist words. While that’s a very sad state of affairs, it is what it is. That’s the current status quo. What’s even more sad is that the Right is doing it now, too. When I bring it up, I’m told, “But they did it first!” I don’t really care. It’s not an excuse. When you shoot back with rude words or name calling, you seem to be telling me that you’re just like them, meaning the Left. Is that what you want?

And before I hear that it’s not the same thing… yes, yes it is. It is indeed lowering yourself to their level. It is behaving badly. It’s wrong. It’s wrong when the Left does it, but at this point, they’ve been doing it so long that I don’t think they are even aware. YOU are all aware, though. You know what you’re doing when you do it. Behaving badly “because the Left did it” is sort of like being a bad parent “because your neighbor did it.”

So… those of you who are actually interested in swaying the opinion of others, who want to teach the ones like me who are on the fence, who are learning… think about how your words and actions affect us. It’s looking pretty grim right now.

It won’t pass but it’s a good sign for things to come

Senate Republicans push for concealed carry reciprocity in new Second Amendment bill

Republican Sens. John Cornyn, R-Texas, and Bill Hagerty, R-Tenn., today will introduce new Second Amendment reforms that would allow state-issued concealed carry permits to be recognized in other states that allow concealed carry.

The bill, the Constitutional Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act, is backed by more than 40 of their Senate colleagues, including Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., and Senate Minority Whip John Thune, R-S.D.

“I’m proud to support law-abiding gun owners across America with this commonsense legislation that would let them concealed carry in all states that allow it,” said Cornyn, who sits on the Senate judiciary, finance and intelligence committees.

The measure treats state-issued concealed carry permits like drivers’ licenses, as people can use their home-state license to drive in another state but must abide by that other state’s speed limit or road laws.

This is the the way it should be, and now that Bruen has made all of America shall issue, there is no reason not to have 50 state CCW reciprocity.

But Biden won’t sign it and the Republicans don’t have a veto proof majority.

But maybe if the Republicans win the presidentcy in 2024, there is hope for this to be passed into law.

Especially under President DeSantis if Florida goes Constitutional Carry.

More of that privilege I was talking about

https://twitter.com/FightHaven/status/1620663235455197184?s=19

If you go into the comments, you will see a number of people claiming that the boy deserved this because he said the n-word, which was not caught on video, or that he must have deserved it because why else would he be hit like that.

Obviously when a white make gets beat over the head with a dustpan, he deserved it.  That’s the zeitgeist.

I’ve said this before, there is a trend of white people, especially white boys, being baited into becoming the recipients of violence.

And this boy was unfortunately smart enough not to fight back so that the viral video was a white boy beating a black girl.

But that doesn’t change the fact that he was hit in the head with a weapon three times.

This is winning in San Francisco

SF is about to start issuing a lot more concealed carry permits; here’s what that means

As Democratic lawmakers call for stricter gun control in light of the mass shootings in California, one gun law in San Francisco is now loosening.

The San Francisco Sheriff’s Department has just approved its first concealed carry weapons permit since a Supreme Court ruling last year eased the eligibility requirements around who can carry a firearm in public.

A concealed carry weapons permit, or a CCW, allows ordinary citizens to legally carry a gun in public. For years, San Francisco law made it nearly impossible to get one. San Francisco Sheriff Paul Miyamoto said that prior to the ruling, only someone considered to be a target, like a judge or a diamond jeweler, could have been eligible for a license.

“Like a judge.”

Let that sink in.

You cam protect yourself in the festering shithole of San Francisco, but a judge can.  Because judges are special and well connected, and you are not.

The significant change from the Bruen decision was that they took out the ‘good cause’ requirement for someone who is applying for a CCW license,” Miyamoto told ABC7 News. “Which basically means as long as you clear our vetting process, our background procedures, and as long as you take a safety course and demonstrate you’re responsible, you’re given an opportunity to have a license.”

Miyamoto said so far the city is processing 72 applications, and they expect to get nearly 100 to 200 more over the next year. “Which is very different from the four we processed in the past 10 or so years,” he said.

I bet he’s going to get 100 or 200 more in the next month if not the next week.

Remember when Asians were lined up around the block to buy pepper spray after multiple public attacks on Asian women and Asian business owners?

People are going to swamp the SFSD with applications.

The Bruen decision was these best SCOTUS decision since Heller and McDonald.

When you can carry a gun in San Francisco, you know you’re winning.

If you are in San Francisco and your pro-gun election last for more than four hours, see this thread here. Read More

Female privilege won her a stupid prize

https://twitter.com/FightHaven/status/1620270648764284929?s=19

He did, he warned her.  He tried to keep her at arm’s length.

She kept advancing and swinging on him.

Then she got tossed like a rag doll.

When she got up notice the shocked look on her face.

She was totally expecting not to fund out from her fucking around because she’s a woman.

That’s female privilege in its truest form.

A man is not supposed to hit a woman.

But a man is allowed to defend himself from violent attack.

She got tossed and deserved it.

She needs to rethink her reality.

When a woman fucks around, a woman can find out.

Defund the Police? Check

On Monday a screenshot of a message came across my feed.

According to a source within the Memphis PD, the 5 charged officers weren’t hired through the usual structured PD hiring process. City leaders felt the existing process was too strict and kept certain people from getting jobs at the department. City leaders began their own hiring process and then pushed new hires into the agency, bypassing the testing procedures in place at the department. You can read between the lines what that all means.

All 5 of the charged officers were hired by the City, and didn’t go through the rigorous PD testing process. This is what quota hiring looks like. Lawsuits and dead innocents. The city should pay the lawsuits instead of the Police department. This Murder wasn’t created by old school policing or by “white supremacy”. This murder was directly facilitated by liberal policy
Chief of Police, Karan Parmar via linkedin post

Given that this was just a screen shot it wasn’t trustworthy. Not enough to talk about.

Today an article from the New York Post there was confirmation.

At least two out of of five Memphis police officers charged with murder in the fatal beatdown of Tyre Nichols joined the force after the department relaxed its hiring requirements.

Not quite the same as what Parmar posted, but interesting.

Recruits no longer needed an associate’s degree or 54 college credit hours to join the force, and could get by with five years of work experience, Action 5 reported.

Loosening the required qualifications however means that the department is ultimately getting “less desirable” job candidates, Mike Alcazar, an adjunct professor at John Jay College of Criminal Justice and a retired NYPD detective, told The Post.

“They’re desperate. They want police officers,” Alcazar said. “They’re going through it, they check off some boxes, saying, ‘Ok, they’re good enough, get them on.”
Memphis cops charged in Tyre Nichols murder hired after PD relaxed job requirements

The Memphis police are down more than 500 men and is offering $15,000 signing bonuses. It does sound like a DEI hire.

Add to this a newly signed bill (unverified by me) in California that say that illegal aliens are now able to get jobs as law enforcement officers.

As more and more substandard people are hired as law enforcement the more the people that actually care and are good are likely to leave the job.

One of the issues with minimum wages that isn’t talked about is that when you raise the rate of the lowest, you have to raise the rate of those above them. I know a couple of people that quit when they found out the new person just hired that reported to them was making more than they were.

If you have some section lead that has been struggling for years to work their way up from $7.50/hr and is now making $14.50/hr and suddenly the guy they just hired to mop floors is making $15/hour his $0.50 raise doesn’t feel all that good.
