We need drug testing at the Florida Legislature…

Because somebody is either smoking meth or ingesting bath salts:

Tallahassee State Rep. Alan Williams (D) filed a bill, HB 4003, yesterday to repeal Florida Statute 776.013.

via HB 4003 – The Home Invader and Carjacker Protection Act of 2014. | All Nine Yards.

So what does F.S. 776.013 covers? Stand Your Ground and Castle Doctrine. Yup, This bill by  would make Florida be just like your average European or South American banana republic where the Constitution is written in pencil and Rights are people that use one of the two hands more often.

Seriously, if you want to live where the criminals can behave with impunity, take I-95 north and have a great time up in NY or NJ.

ZOMG! Them dangerous .50 caliber sniper assault rifles! (Part 2)

Giving Ted N. a hat tip via Hypocrisy and Stupidity of Gun Control Advocates
This guy found an unattended .50 caliber sniper assault rifle next to the ammo at WalMart. I mean, this is a tragedy waiting to happen! How could they?!?!

Yup… a muzzle-loader next to regular ammunition. As one commenter said, the real shocking thing is that a WalMart actually had ammo. The answer is: Video is from 2011…or as now referred as the Good Old Days.

And the Myth of the Atomic AR begins…

CSGV AtomicWitnesses said that Terry York, 48, who lived at the residence with his family, was showing a friend the AR-15 rifle when it discharged accidentally. The witness told investigators that a fire and possible explosion ensued instantaneously. The person who witnessed the incident was able to escape the engulfed home, but Terry York and his 12 year-old son Luke had to be pulled out of the burning house.
Two Dead after Explosion, Fire Due Accidental Gun Discharge

Obviously there is more to this than just a discharge. I am thinking either gas or some other petroleum distillates in gaseous forms. Or maybe something altogether sinister. But wait and see the Opposition talking about those now more evil and dangerous “assault weapons” now improved with explosives! Truly insurrectionists Rifles!

CSGV: We like our women beaten to a pulp.

CSGV Home ViolenceThe Cult Coalition to Stop Gun Rights Violence today sheds Crocodile Tears for the victims of Violence at Home. But we remember that Gun Control Advocates hate the idea that a woman can defend herself against an attacker who is bigger than her with not only the proper tools but with the proper legal backing.

CSGV has been recorded to say that a woman attacked by her abusing less-than-better half did not have the right to defend herself but she had the duty to seek other less ideal options. They will pretend to care over and over again, but the Internet never forgets and we will call them to the carpet because they cannot help themselves but stick their hooves in their snouts.

So Tech Saavy yet so Dumb.

CW (Consumer Watchdog) spokesman John Simpson said: “Sending an email is like giving a letter to the Post Office. I expect the Post Office to deliver the letter based on the address written on the envelope. I don’t expect the mail carrier to open my letter and read it. When I send an email, I expect it to be delivered to the intended recipient with a Gmail account based on the email address; why would I expect its content will be intercepted by Google and read?”

via Google: Gmail users can’t expect privacy when sending emails – News – Gadgets & Tech – The Independent.

It might be a generational thing, but those of us old farts that got started in the nets way back in the Era of American On Line, Compuserve and Prodigy (pay-by-the-hour with really crappy modems) remember a warning that was told over and over:

Think of Email as a postcard. Anybody can stop it and read it.

Unless you are using an encryption system between you and the recipient, you are sending the info in plain view of anybody that can intercept it. Never send anything that can hurt you in any way possible if compromised by a third party.
