Something seems fucky here

Let me get this straight:

DeSantis was leading in the polls.  Florida has no “election irregularities” because Florida fixed that shit (Florida only makes mistakes once).  DeSantis blows Crist out of the fucking water with 60% of the vote.

Rubio was favored in the polls and he won in Florida.

JD Vance was leading in the polls.  There were no “voting irregularities” in Ohio and he won with 53% of the vote.

Dr. Oz beat the fucking pants off of John Fetterman in the debate and was leading in the polls.  There were “voting irregularities” and Fetterman won.

Keri Lake was leading in the polls.  There were “voting irregularities” in Arizona and her opponent Katie Hobbs won.

It seems like in states without “voting irregularities” the Republican favored in the polls won.

In states with “voting irregularities” the Republican favored in the polls lost.

Something seems fucky to me.

Caught in the Spam/Moderation Filter? Don’t fret

If your comment to a post does not show up, it may have been trapped in the spam/moderation filter. We do check the filter, but maybe not as fast as we should. I believe I personally restore 99% of them, but then again, I’ve known you bastards’ writing style for a long while and know you are legitimate readers.

There used to be a warning when you got caught in the filter, but I believe it is no longer working or at least I have not been able to find it in the page editing tools.

So, comment away.

It is all in the spin

Judge Suddaby issued an injunction enjoying parts of the NY CCIA.

The process that happens is that the parties can request a “temporary” injunction.  This is short lived.  It is designed to stop harm from happening as the case proceeds to trial.  Judge Suddaby granted a temporary injunction to GOA, held it for 3 business days to allow the state to appeal it to the second circuit court which overturned the temporary injunction.

Time goes by and the judge has had time to look at the pleadings of both parties and is now issuing an injunction.  This blocks large parts of the CCIA and it is in place until the end of the trial.

With a temporary injunction one of the parties can delay things so that the temporary expires.  With an injunction it doesn’t matter how long it takes to get to trial the injunction stands.  Using the term “suspend” minimizes the huge win this is.

In addition, when issuing the temporary injunction judge Suddaby held it in order to give the State time to appeal.  The State again asked for a hold while they appealed.  This time judge Suddaby said “no.”  His reasoning being something like “a right delayed is a right denied”.

What this means is that until such time as the trial is heard, all of the “good moral character” parts of the CCIA are dead.  They can’t ask anything related to establishing “good moral character”.  The judge explicitly stated that NY had just exchanged “good cause” for “good moral character” which is not allowed because of the Bruen opinion.

Along with stopping the “good moral character” parts, the judge took direct issue with many of the sensitive place designated by the State.  In particular he said that requiring businesses and privately owned property to say that CCW was allowed was likely to be found unconstitutional.  He also agreed with judge Senatra, Jr. that places of worship are NOT sensitive places and used judge Senatra, Jr.’s arguments to bolster his own.

The courts are building up a body of work that is in the process of gutting gun control at all levels.

With luck we’ll be free of a few anti gun politicians come January when the new Congress is sworn in

Election abuse in Florida

DeSantis beats Crist. Nothing unexpected there except for the million and a half votes difference between candidates. DeSantis went as far as flipping Miami-Dade red by +11 (When had lost it by 12 points) and squeezed out Crist in Palm Beach county by +3.

And Rubio passed the 1 million vote difference over Demings too.

This was not a win, not even a beatdown but straight abuse of weaklings by a superior force.

As for the Red Tsunami? At this writing, it pretty much became a ripple. The House looks like is going to go Red, but the Senate is going be a mess. My take? Too many GOP candidates are still playing softball trying to be “inclusive.” That strategy of “compassionate conservative” does not play anymore as it is just seen as cowardly.

This needs to be the new playbook.

3 Takeaways From DeSantis’s Win For Every Republican Governor (thefederalist.com)

J. Kb. made an interesting comment to me last night about Trump needing to get out of the way as DeSantis could actually be the guy who flips California to the Red team next presidential election. I don’t believe Trump has to go just yet, but I would not mind him be the center of manure attention till at least the Primaries are over. More time the Media spends attacking is less time they attack DeSantis.

They will hate it when they rules they create get used against them

Remember how it was Right-Wing Violence™ when some insane pervert hit Paul Pelosi with a hammer?

Well it’s all fun and games when someone chucks a beer at Senator Ted Cruz.

Go into the replies and there are lots of people celebrating this and a few wishing it had been worse for Cruz.

It’s all fun and games until people decide turnabout is fair play, then the shit will hit the fan.

The people who are trying to normalize political violence against “fascists” are not going to like it when we accurately identify them as fascists and normalize political violence against them.

Today either the U.S. survives or collapses.

Either way, I expect there will be some trouble in selected areas. If the Democrats lose as it is predicted, I expect them to go Losing Romans and both poison the well and salt the soil.

Prepare accordingly.

PS: Voted already over here in case you were wondering.
