In a previous post on shotguns, I referencedwhat the great Clint Smith said about shotguns:

“Shotguns at the right range with the right load will physically remove a chunk of shit off your opponent and throw that shit on the floor.  And you have to get someone to come in and clean this shit up with a shovel.”

Today we turn to California on this topic.

In the video it appears that the robber still has his arm, but only God, he, and his trauma surgeon know what condition it’s in.

But at that range (say 25 feet) a load from a 12 gauge would be devastating enough to mostly sever a limb.

Note how the other guys getting put of the SUV with guns reversed course as soon as their compatriot came out scrraming with a shotgun wound.

The story gets more interesting from there.

Hero store owner, 80, blames ‘clueless’ politicians for California crime surge after he had heart attack fending off robbers armed with AR-15 (but he still returned to work next day!)

An 80-year-old liquor store owner in California has called out politicians after his trigger finger helped him fend off armed robbers, claiming ‘I’m not going to let them get the shot off first.’

Craig Cope, 80, said ‘the crime rate is escalating and it’s going to continue to escalate until they start putting the people away that are doing the bad things’ after his harrowing shootout was caught in dramatic surveillance footage.

While he refrained from ‘naming names,’ he said ‘there are a whole lot of them that are creating major problems for business owners,’ and complained ‘a lot’ of criminals are ‘career criminals, (and) they need to be locked up.’

The old man is not wrong.

Cope was behind the counter of Norco Market & Liquor shop in Norco, Calif., when he noticed a gang of men armed with guns creeping up to the door just before 3 a.m.

‘There wasn’t much time to think about’ what to do, Cope said, as a 23-year-old man entered the store with an AR-15 raised and ready to shoot, forcing Cope to immediately fire off his shotgun, hitting the man in the arm and sending the group scrambling.

‘He shot my arm off! He shot my arm off!’ the man can be heard shouting as he frantically runs back to a black BMW SUV that deputies later said was reported stolen.

The store owner described being forced into action in an interview with Fox, saying: ‘When you point that gun at me and you’re that close to me and I see what you’re carrying, I’m not waiting.’

He’s right about his tactics too.

Cope said his shooting skills come from being a young boy in Illinois, where he owned a single-shot rifle and hunted small game. ‘Ammunition was expensive’ he said, so ‘you don’t want to miss.’

Beware the man with just one gun, he probably knows how to use it.

Cope will not face any charges in Riverside County, unlike the New York City bodega worker who was charged with murder for fatally stabbing an attacker in self-defense.

‘In this case, a lawfully armed member of our community prevented a violent crime and ensured their own safety while being confronted with multiple armed suspect,’ the sheriff’s department said in a release referring to Cope’s case.

That’s the best news.  Good on the Sheriff for upholding the obvious.

When a thug points an AR at a law abiding citizen and gets a free prison issued prosthetic arm as his stupid prize, all caught on HD security camera, it’s best just to let it go.

I should point out that this shooting also disarms the Left’s position on AR-15s turning criminals who wield them into unstoppable killing machines.

In Greenwood, a criminal with an AR was taken out by a guy with a CCW pistol.

Here, a criminal with an AR was given a Grosskreutz with a pump action scattergun.

It’s not about the gun, it’s about the mindset.

This old man was going to do what needed to be done and did it with one shotshell.

In 2019 some asshole shot up the California garlic festival. Now that Bruen has dropped the maggots are coming out to feast on the bodies.

The lawsuit seeks damages and injunctive relief from Century Arms LLC for marketing and selling the WASR-10 military-style assault rifle the shooter used to carry out the horrific act that killed three people and injured 17 others. According to Scarlett Law Group and Brady Legal, the company was “negligent and reckless” for manufacturing and selling “a weapon of war” that can too easily be modified to fire automatically.

The addition off Century Arms to the lawsuit was approved by Santa Clara County Superior Court after California passed laws enabling citizens to individually sue corporations and individuals doing commerce in arms.

In addition to the Scarlett Law Group suit there seems to be others that are suing Century Arms.

This is the second prong on the most recent attack on the Second Amendment. The first being to declare so many sensitive places that it is impossible to carry and the other to use lawfare to drive people and corporations engaging in the legal commerce in arms to be driven out of business via the costs of defending themselves.

Trans cheerleader, 25, is given assault citation after ‘choking out’ teammate, 17, who called her a ‘man with a penis’ at cheer camp as video taken afterwards shows attacker saying ‘I barely touched her’

A transgender cheerleader was kicked out of a Texas college cheer camp after she allegedly attacked a teammate who called her a ‘man with a penis’.

Averie Chanel Medlock, 25, was booted from the Ranger College cheerleading camp in Texas, and given a criminal assault by physical contact citation last week. She is accused of choking a 17 year-old teammate, only identified by her first name, Karleigh, who she claimed made transphobic remarks toward her.

The girl and other teammates allegedly locked themselves in a locker room to hide from the raging Medlock, who claimed that she was being targeted for her race and gender.

Police were called to the scene, along with Karleigh’s father, Mike Jones, and Medlock was removed from the campus.

Jones’ account of the incident was far different, however, writing in a Facebook post that he was called by his terrified daughter at 1am after she barricaded herself behind a door to hide from Medlock, who had allegedly choked her out. Several teammates corroborated this account of events.

‘I ask you what you would have done when receiving a phone call at 1 o’clock in the morning from your daughter stating they had locked themselves in the room with other girls, after this person said You want to fight, and proceeded to put their hands around my daughters neck,’ he wrote.

Speaking to KTAB and KRBC, Medlock insisted the problems were started by Jones and Karleigh, and that she was being targeted because of her gender.

‘They knew that I was trans. They knew that I was different from all the other girls. It wasn’t a big deal until her dad came up there and made a scene,’ she said.

‘I was kicked off the team for assumptions because of the dad’s assumptions of what happened.’

The thing I noticed about these cases is how when these trans individuals get challenged they revert to very aggressive and belligerent male behavior very quickly.

When the mask slips there is an angry dude behind it.

It’s almost as if these people can claim to feel one way or another, but when stressed reveal who and what they really are.

One day I will tell you about the hot sauce I tried and made me quit all that shit. Made in the Venezuelan side of the Amazonian region and one of the components was the heads of the local fire ants. Formic acid brings a new level of pain and suffering to the gourmet experience.

The elephant in the room is that nobody is buying anything back. They never owned it in the first place and they are using your money to purchase these guns.

Since most of them are “no questions asked” they are often a place where criminals get rid of guns that have been used in murders.

Lastly, they are often complete rip offs. Some widow brings in the M1 Garand that her father carried in WWII and is given a $100 gift card to the local grocery store or Walmart.

Some of the better buy backs that have happened is when a bunch of gun guys showed up and setup outside the buy back. They were making real offers on the guns before the Government could rip the owners off. In the one case I know of, they cops just told the buyers they had to be back 100 ft from the official buyback booth.

But the folks down in Houston, TX went one step further. They told their 3D printer to start printing some sort of frame. By the time they were done they had enough “ghost guns” to get over $3000 in $50 gift cards.

More than enough to pay for their filament and time.

The vaccine to prevent children from getting monkeypox in schools is to find the pedophiles groomer teachers and run them through a woodchipper.

Ohio is a freedom state. They have constitutional carry. Of course this means that the streets are running red with blood.

Oh, right, that’s Chicago and DC and other blue cities and states with “strict gun control”. It doesn’t seem to be happening in freedom states.

This year, for the first time in decades, people will be legally able to carry at the Ohio State Fair. Given that this is an unsecured area, carrying seems to be a good idea. Heck, you are awake and dressed, carrying seems like a good idea.

Unfortunately for fairgoers, this might not be actually possible. According to one pundit all the restrooms at the fair are indoors and according to this one report people are not allowed to carry indoors. This means that people that go to the Ohio State Fair and need to use the restroom might find themselves in violation of the law.

None of the claims of this pundit have been verified. They could just be talking out of their ass, still it shows the type of thing that happens when locations can be marked as off limits to people legally carrying their firearm. Another place that only criminals with guns are welcome.

Anyone bringing a firearm to the Ohio State Fair better have a strong bladder, or someone who will babysit their firearm, if they need to relieve themselves. As I recall, all bathrooms at the fair are indoors. No open-air urinals, and urinating in public is still against the law in Ohio. I have no sympathy for them.
