Ukrainians ‘taping looters to lamp posts as they try to capitalise on Russian invasion’

Ukrainians have resorted to taping looters to lamp posts and telephone poles after local media services reported spikes in looting during the Russian invasion, it has been reported.

Taking matters into their own hands, Ukrainian locals have banded together to start taping looters up to telephone poles and lamp posts in the hopes of stopping them from capitalising on the Russian invasion.

“Locals are trying to stop the looters and bandits by themselves.”

People like order and when government fails to enforce order the people will do it themselves, and generally harsher than government.

In this case I don’t blame the Ukrainian government because it has bigger fish to fry.

So the people are dealing with the problem directly.

In California, the government has failed to enforce the law because of political ideology.

I’d love nothing more than to see an uprising where when customers see some piece-of-shit stuffing a trash bag full of stuff at a store, they gang rush the piece-of-shit and duct tape him to a light pole.

In some cases the Ukrainians are stripping the looters naked before taping them up.  A bare ass exposed in the Ukrainian winter.

I’m thinking a bare ass exposed to a southern California sun in summer will be extra incentive not to reoffend.

In such cases the slow response time of the police is a benefit.

“Hello, 9-1-1, there is a looters taped to a telephone poll outside the CVS.”

“We will have an officer respond sometime tomorrow.”

This is frontier justice I can get behind.

A judge on Thursday sentenced a Florida man to death for fatally shooting an Orlando police officer while he was on the run for killing his pregnant ex-girlfriend.

Jurors in November found Markeith Loyd, 46, guilty in the January 2017 death of Orlando Police Lt. Debra Clayton, and unanimously recommended a death sentence during a hearing in December. Circuit Judge Leticia Marques announced her decision during a brief hearing on Thursday morning.

Loyd is already serving a life sentence for killing Sade Dixon, his former girlfriend, a month before Clayton was killed.

The guy is truly scum.

An autopsy showed that Clayton was struck four times and the fatal shot hit her neck, apparently as she lay on her back on the ground.

Simply put: He executed Lt Clayton. It does not matter if she was a cop or a civilian, that was just pure evil.

I do expect BLM and the appropriate suspects to come out defending this vicious predator soon enough with Anitfa celebrating with the hastag #ACAB.

I was able to sit down last night and go over what has been happening in Ukraine. One of the things I detected is the shift in feeling towards the conflict. Initially it was the joy of a bully being stopped by the weakling and David Facing Goliath, but now it looks like people are seeing the bully actually bleeding the poor bespectacled kid and stealing his lunch money.

Putin has no morals and no remorse. The Soviet Russian military doctrine has been (like the Chinese) to throw quantity rather than quality against the enemy. If it takes 5 Russian soldiers to kill one Ukranian, they will send 6. A three-mile-long military column got minced to death by the Ukrainians? Next, they sent a 40-mile column. They have enough population to get conscripts from and enough industrial base to build more armored vehicles. Again, they have 5,000 RPGs, they will build 5,001 BMPs and Eff Your Valiant Effort.

And if that was not bad enough, the Soviets Russians discarded any idea they had of making this a strickt attack against military targets and now everything is fair game, including civilian areas.

I believe Putin is embarrassed that it has been 2 weeks of attacks against Ukraine and still it has not been conquered.  What was supposed to be (and probably sold as) a simple blitzkrieg operation turned out to be a dragging slug fest. They tried to apply Western warfare doctrine only to have the old school partisan resistance they were famous for in places like Stalingrad, throw back at them. Now they are going full Kosack and will not give a damn about what other countries think or how many civilian casualties and displacements will they cause.

And this is just pure speculation on my part, but we won’t see any real harsh US sanctions against Russia because of possible personal blackmail against the administration. My suspicion is that they have enough dirt to bring down two of the three branches of Government.  Yes, just a feeling, pure speculation and nothing but conspiracy theory … which means 6 months down the road we may find I was right.

Americans can expect to see gas prices to rise to $5 a gallon in the coming weeks, as the cost of oil continues to rise in the days following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, experts say – and some parts of California already are.

‘We’re getting closer to seeing our first ever major city gas price average reach $5/gal,’ Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy, tweeted Monday, as the national average soared to $3.61, which has since spiked to $3.72 as of Thursday.

The national average as of Thursday is $3.72 a gallon, up 37 cents from February and about a dollar from a year ago, AAA data shows. The increase for the year can also be attributed to inflation and supply chain issues, which were then exacerbated by the Russian invasion.

De Haan says that Americans will see the average rise to $4/gallon before the end of March – nearing the highest-ever recorded national average of $4.11, recorded in July 2008 during America’s Great Recession.

When I bought my Mustang in 2020, I could fill the 13 gallon tank at Costco for about $20.

I just filled her up again and it cost just shy of $50.

I remember filling up the old Chevy pickup with a 26 gallon tank under Obama for $100.

More than $60 to fill up a small car is such and absolute kick in the dick to middle Americans.

And it’s only been a year.

I am not a lawyer so this is not legal advice, but if I were on a jury and a defendant said “he smeared shit in my face so I shot him,” I’d vote to acquit.

People get hepatitis that way and I’d consider giving someone hepatitis to be “grave bodily harm.”
