Semi-retired like Vito Corleone before the heart attack. Consiglieri to J.Kb and AWA. I lived in a Gun Control Paradise: It sucked and got people killed. I do believe that Freedom scares the political elites.

  1. Perfect. I dont know about other parts of the country, but here in maine they have gone all woke and banned plastic bags. Replacing them with PAPER BAGS which plastic bags replaced in the 90s because we was clear cutting forests to make paper bags….. fast forward to now( where the fuk is my jetpack??) and eeeeeeewwww plastic bags! So its ok to clear cut forest to make paperbags and put up solar panels….. you cant make this up

    1. So… I have a Black Armor SAN device. Great thing. That is until Windows decided SMB 1 was nicht gut. Then it took a dump. Two terabytes of files I had to figure out how to get back. Paperless my ass. And God knows what microsoft is doing with my files now that office is a ‘cloud’ product. I was floored to see my stuff in their cloud (It hijacked the ‘my documents’ folder and made it online)

Fuggit. If it’s important I print it now. And whenever I really want to read, I can count on my kindle and iPad to have fuck-all for battery charge. I order paper books now.

Off topic from paper, but solar fanbois crack me up. I was on a team call with my Canadian and German team members and they were saying that with all that sun we get in Texas, I should do solar!

Had to let them down. I had a friend sell those systems. I think for my last house it was $15K, without batteries. At our energy prices, that’s five years or more for a payoff, assuming nothing broke in the meantime. I also pointed out my roof doesn’t line up with the sun’s path, so they’d have to stand off at a weird angle, and I’d have to cut down an ash tree, and two majestic pecans that shade my roof during the hottest part of the day. On a 100 degree day, inside my house will be 85 without AC. I’d lose more money going solar than I save with my big trees.

      1. Posting as a Texan and survivor of February 2021, not to mention the 72 years before it, fuck solar and the whelps that push that shit, may they rot in hell.

Only one rule: Don't be a dick.
