This legislation would trample on the principle of federalism by denying states the right to decide for themselves what to require of those who want to carry loaded guns in public.
Once again we have the Federalism argument. My god, how Democrats love state’s rights when it comes to denying people their Constitutionally protected civil liberties.
This legislation [Civil Rights Act of 1960] would trample on the principle of federalism by denying states the right to decide for themselves what to require of those who want to carry loaded guns in public blacks who want to vote.
Maybe letting the states decided just how Constitutional Rights should be exercised is a bad idea. It’s not like that hasn’t been abused before…
