GLEN ST. MARY, Fla – Three men say they were asleep inside a mobile home in Glen St. Mary about 4 a.m. Sunday when they heard a voice outside yell “Sheriff’s Office!” before the front door burst open.
In stormed a masked gunman who fired off a single round before two of the men inside, one armed with an AR-15 rifle and the other with a handgun, emerged from two bedrooms and opened fire.
Gunfire ripped into the masked gunman and two other intruders, who crumpled to the floor with multiple gunshot wounds.
Those details surfaced Tuesday when the Baker County Sheriff’s Office released an arrest report linked to this weekend’s home invasion turned deadly triple shooting.
Five people are charged in the case. Investigators suspect the home invasion escalated from an ongoing feud between two groups that was stoked by social media threats.
The victims told deputies they acted in self-defense when they turned their guns on the intruders, with one of them estimating he fired over 30 rounds from an AR-15 before the threat was over.

It was a grand total of 7 individuals with the element of surprise on their side. The Evil Black Rifle did not even the odds but moved them squarely in favor of the almost victims.

It has been said that headshots are very honest.
An important point was the way the home invaders yelled they were the sheriff’s department in an attempt to get the victims to not shoot. If the invader, who got off the first shot, had hit his target, this would be a different story.
It’s the argument against SWAT team “no-knock” raids. If someone is coming in the door shooting, we have no reason to believe they’re actually the police.
Anyone who wants to play dress up and buy a SWAT uniform or police badge can do it.
It’s a trope-killing two-fer!
1: AR style firearms aren’t any good for self/home defense.
2: There’s no excuse for shooting first/back in a no-knock raid in the dead of night.
3: Nobody needs more than 10 rounds to protect themselves

I wonder why the news outside of Florida isn’t concerned about this story…..
Or rather, they *are* concerned, which is why they are suppressing it. (Concerned that people might learn of it and draw the correct conclusion, that is.)
