The ammo shortage has affected everybody but we that reload have been struggling like madmen looking for sanity in a Grateful Dead concert to find reloading supplies. I have been a customer of Powder Valley for several years now and their record is impressive: no matter how bad the situation, they have managed to keep me (and I am guessing most of its customers) rightly supplied.

I placed an order for 9mm bullets a couple of weeks ago actually amazed that they had bullets in stock. The site had a warning indicating that orders placed that day may have shipment date of July 2nd. I had no problem with that, hell I was happy to been able to score the darn things. But the people at Powder Valley beat that and I just got both via email the invoice and the FedEx notification that my shipment is on the way. And even the price was not bad at all as the difference from last time I bought a similar product and the price that I am paying now is just about $10-$12 more. So kudos and many thanks to the people of Powder Valley for being such a remarkable company and busting their butts to keep us happy and shooting.

And of course, if you have not tried Powder Valley, you should….now! What are you still doing here? 🙂

There will be some shootin’ done soon!

Spread the love

  1. I agree with your opinion of Powder Valley and have bought from them before and will continue to do so. Like MidwayUSA, Brownell’s and a few choice other vendors, they care about their customer’s satisfaction and are in business for the long haul.

  2. Not that I’m a prepper or anything, but getting powder here in France is not so easy anymore.

On one end of the chain, Vihtavuori is being sold by (French) parent Eurenco/SNPE and it’s unclear whether there’ll be any supply disruption. On the other end of the chain, gunshops in France will have to comply with new insane regulations for power storage. Which means less and less shops will carry powders (or only a fraction of what the have now).
We ordered 20 pounds of VV N340 and delivery is expected in October …

    I got an extra 4500 small pistol primers a few weeks ago. I still have around 18k 9mm bullets (8k 145gr, 6k 124gr FMJ, rest is assorted electro-plated 123-124gr stuff). I’m probably covered for 2013 and 2014.

Surprisingly we still get US ammunition these days. My regular supplier got some American Eagle 55gr FMJ a couple weeks ago. And there’s euro suppliers Sellier & Bellot and Fiocchi also churning out stuff. But I guess Europe as a whole probably shoots just as much as your average Floridian county.
