There used to be a TV Game Show called Press You Luck. I don’t recall much of it, but the basic theme was you will get burned if overdoit. Four crooks did press their luck and robbed the same house they visit previously, only this time the owner was ready.
The result: Two to the morgue and two to the hospital. Homeowner safe.

Hmmm. Said that one in the hospital is in critical condition, so it may be 2 1/2 to the morgue. Good for him!
In my world, the homeowner should get a thousand dollar check for helping the city. Still cheaper than a public defender and court time.
I just love a happy ending. Even if he did only send 2 of them to the morgue.
