  1. Every square inch of the planet at one time belonged to someone else. But possession is 9/10’s of the law, and if you weren’t strong enough to hold onto it several centuries ago, then too bad. Sorry, shit happens. And yes, some tribes were nomadic and some weren’t, but what do you really expect when you have essentially stone age people standing in the way of people at the dawn of the industrial age. Most of the white people coming here did so cause they were kicked off land in Europe/Britain. So quit complaining and open up another casino and sell some discounted cigarettes.

And we still have some Mexican families in Texas trying to sue their way back into property ownership after we whupped up on Santa Anna and secured our independence from Mexico in the mid-1800’s. Yeah, good luck with that.

  2. Read America: Imagine a World Without Her by Dinesh D’sousa.

Does a pretty good job of explaining that concept. The native tribes spent a lot of time and effort fighting other tribes for access to the lands. Well, more accurately to the resources on the lands.

History is nothing except one group taking land from another group.

  3. The vast majority of land in the United States between the Appalachians and the Rocky Mountains was not “stolen” from Native Americans. It was purchased by private American citizens making mutually agreed to contracts with private citizens of the various Indian nations.

The “stolen land” meme is largely a result of 1970’s socialist agitprop LARPers American Indian Movement activists who argued that an obscure law from 1790 meant that only the United States federal government had the authority to buy land and only if it was being sold by a tribal government. All private sales were invalid and they got a couple of Marxist impartial judges to agree with them.

When the tribes got the land back, they promptly signed leases with international hotelier conglomerates to get casinos built on the land. The leaders of the politburo tribal council all got rich and the filthy proles tribal members got jobs as hotel maids, fry cooks, and parking valets.

    1. Ish,

Casinos are a hell of a lot more profitable for the tribe members (of the tribes with profitable casinos) than you think. Last I heard in 2005. The Mesquaki Souix Indians all were getting about a Million a Year each from their Minnesota Casino in Prior Lake. The Prairie Island Souix were getting about a Quarter Million a Year from theirs. Yes, the Tribal leaders are pulling in a lot more.

Of course the Red Lake Indians in Northern Minnesota, far from any major city? Not so much.

    1. If you want to be really pedantic, every single member of the H. sapiens species should “go back to Africa.” Ultimately, if you go back far enough in anyone’s family tree, that’s where we’re all from.

Sitting Bull’s great-great-great-(etc.)-grandfather crossed into North America from northeast Asia via the Bering Strait land bridge… That guy’s great-great-great-(etc.)-(etc.)-grandfather got to northeast Asia via Central Asia… That guy’s great-great-great-(etc.)-(etc.)-(etc.) grandfather got there via crossing the Arabian Peninsula after he left eastern Africa…

  4. And yet, I don’t see no rich Leftist handing over the deeds to their mansions to any BIPOC. They’re not turning down slots at Ivy League universities so some minority can have a go, they’re not resigning from various well paid positions so that a minority can be hired, and they’re not putting their money where their mouths are (excepting Kamela).

    1. “Comrades!” [Squealer] cried. “You do not imagine, I hope, that we pigs are doing this in a spirit of selfishness and privilege? Many of us actually dislike milk and apples. I dislike them myself. Our sole object in taking these things is to preserve our health. Milk and apples (this has been proved by Science, comrades) contain substances absolutely necessary to the well-being of a pig. We pigs are brainworkers. The whole management and organisation of this farm depend on us. Day and night we are watching over your welfare. It is for YOUR sake that we drink that milk and eat those apples.”

  5. So a group dedicated to supporting a ‘group’ of people who only had part of them forcibly immigrated are bitching about land being ‘taken’ from another group of people.

    Right.

    Can’t make this stuff up.

  6. Ah yes, the myth of the “noble savage”.

Indians lived in tune with nature and were peaceful to each other until these white devils arrived and riled them up.

Nevermind the slavery, the massacres, the scalping, the terraforming and the wholesale slaughter of animals* by the use of indiscriminating hunting methods – as was common for stone age people.

    * the Europeans beat them at that, but then again they had firearms.

  7. I can prove ancestry to the Cherokee (WAY back). I had a great Turkey dinner here in Tennessee. According to the map I’m on my own land, so pi$$ of BurnLootMurder @$$wipes.
