Yup. Those are tweezers, long ones. 12 inches, 10 inches and 8 inches.

I got tired of attaching sticky stuff to dowels  and other ad hoc measures when trying to retrieve non-magnetic items from constricted spaces, namely the garbage disposal.

I think I spent under $10 in Amazon and the look on my wife’s face when she saw them was worth the cheap price.

  1. Please turn off the power before you start fishing in the disposal, even with the tweezers. Your fingers will thank you.

  2. Get yourself a 2.5 or 5 gallon paint bucket with lid, some PVC pieces and tubing.

Make yourself a suction collection jar and hook your vacuum up to it.

Great for picking up things like beads and whatnot. Vacuum it up and then sort through the bucket for your stuff.

  3. I picked up a cheapy made-in-Pakistan set of curved and straight hemostats from Amazon for exactly the same reason. Cost me about $19 for a set of six. As hemostats they’re trash; but as parts-picker-uppers and drain-fisher-outers they’re pretty handy.
