Rob co-wrote the piece with Dan Gross, former president of The Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence — AKA: Handgun Control, Inc. — AKA: the Brady Bunch.

“He reached out to me,” Rob told me Sunday. “We met through a third party, and then he offered me some insight into why he’s no longer president of Brady.”

When I read their column, I first thought it was a joke. After all, April Fools’ Day is right around the corner, but it’s definitely not a joke. There’s nothing funny about it.

In my humble opinion, it’s treasonous.

Huh? Rob Pincus calls for expanded background checks, gun control and then says he didn’t

As usual, go read the whole thing. Lee Williams makes excellent points and confirms to me that Rob is betting on possibly making good business if the Democrats win by being the official Gun Instructor who developed “common sense.”

In case you don’t remember or did not catch the first time around, the Second Amendment community was ambushed by Rob and some of the other alleged Gun Rights “fighters” by bringing Dan Gross unannounced to the Second Amendment rally in D.C. a couple of years ago.  And somehow they were “surprised” and hurt that their move was rejected by way too many people, me included.

You know we are fucked up when even Jeff Knox, the Head Chest Thumper & No Compromise Guru becomes a Dairy Queen sundae for 5 seconds of Social Media attention.

  1. I met Pincus some years ago. He was talking about how we needed to bring science into training. Afterwards I approached him to offer my help in doing research, for which I am highly qualified. He told me to do the work and bring it to him. That was when I decided that he was a self- aggrandizing putz.
Also note that in his training videos he shows himself shooting, but he doesn’t show the target. That tells you something.

  2. Pincus cannot dry up and blow away fast enough. I have never met any respectable person in the firearms industry who had anything really positive to say about him, but I have several friends/contacts in the industry who hate the bastard. Almost the entirety of my gun industry contacts either have no opinion of the guy/don’t know him or they wouldn’t cross the street to piss on him if he were on fire.

Yet somehow he keeps popping up . . .

  3. Seconding Ragnar_D here the stories about his tantrums and trying to throw his weight around with companies are legion once you get a few drinks in with people and the cameras get put away at Shotshow.

Threatening people who are critical of him that he can make a call and have people’s sponsorships canceled or even haver their dealership status removed at his whim kind of things. Its the gun world equivalent of “my dad works at Nintendo/Facebook/Google and can XYZ you”

Then there is the whole PD10 deal.

Think you nailed it on the head he’s trying to get in front of any bad legislation and get brownie points with that side.

  4. Pincus is a hypocrite. All he does is bash Trump yet gives Biden a free pass. Pincus has ZERO credibility within the law enforcement community. At the end of the day is a typical hypocritical leftist.

Only one rule: Don't be a dick.
