My lady hangs on some leftist FB groups because of the primary topics. One of the sad things is that there are topics of research that are interesting to us but which most of the people that are subject matter experts are also left (extreme left) leaning.
In a number of these groups she’s seen leftist trying to purchase firearms for the first time. And being completely stopped by federal and state laws. This means people trying to buy guns online, buying one from a “friend” or walking into a gun show and walking out with a gun. To find out that they have to fill out paperwork and how nobody is allowed to help them with the 4473 breaks their little minds.
Her response has been “Let us know when you find one of those loopholes. We’d really like to know about them right about now.”
The number of these people that are learning just how many different gun laws are on the books today is amazing. Some of these people have never had to fill out a form where they were required to do it all by themselves with no “life line”.
I also recall an argument I had on google+ in days past. Somebody was talking about how we need to do something. How the laws weren’t enough. I shot down all the laws he proposed. Then he got angry and asked me: Well what law would you propose!!!
My answer “A well regulated militia, being necessary for the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bare arms shall not be infringed.”
The conversation stopped cold.

“Hmm. Well, it appears that it sucks when you get what you thought you wanted, doesn’t it?”
“Unless, you only meant for, oh, I dunno, Black folks to be subjected to him control? Or Republicans? Deplorables? Jews? Did I miss any other varieties of Untermenschen?”
