On Sunday, international monitors called for the election result to be annulled, saying they had found “clear manipulations” of the 20 October poll.

Mr Morales agreed with the findings and announced his intention to call fresh elections – after overhauling the country’s election body.

But politicians – and the army and police chiefs – had urged him to quit.

Some of his allies were attacked earlier this week, and said their homes had been set alight

Bolivian President Evo Morales resigns amid fraud poll protests.

There was manipulation of the electoral results. Before you get confused, according to Bolivia’s electoral law, if there not a 10% or more difference between the first and second place candidates, there has to be another round of elections. When th challenger went under that 10%, the Electoral Council stopped updating results, went silent and the next announcement was that Evo Morales had been re-elected.  It was such an obvious ploy that people took to the streets every day till today.  But it was yesterday that the final bell tolls were heard when the police units of all major cities went peacefully against the government being the last one the one from La Paz, capital of the country. Morales then asked the Electoral council to have brand new elections again, but that died when the Armed Forces of Bolivia suggested that he should resign.

He finally did.

The International Left is having kittens, bricks and other assorted objects plus a case of the vapors. Repeating the propaganda formula I have heard almost all my life, they blamed the CIA and the Ultra Right Wing for the “coup”  and swore a bunch of things: from not recognizing the next president to looking really crossed at anybody celebrating Evo’s departure.

There are some of the Bolivian “CIA agents” celebrating in the streets after Morales announced his resignation

Purebred gringos all of them.

The President was last seen hoping in a small jet plane and taking off, only to land at another airport in the country. Unconfirmed news say that he asked several countries including Argentina and Brazil for refuge and was denied.

The question now is why Bolivia succeeded where other Latin American countries have failed? No idea, but then again it is Bolivia. They proudly fucked Che Guevara and told Castro to go sit on a broken bottle of rum. you just don’t mess with mountain people.

PS: Can somebody please post this in Twitter? I still 5 and a half days left of my Gulag sentence and won’t let me publish my posts there. Thank you!

  1. Today’s WSJ quoted Maduro bemoaning the downfall of a “brother president”. I suppose he’s worried he is next. That would be wonderful.
Best of all would be if the downfall of Maduro were followed by the immediate arrest and prompt execution of all Cuban henchmen deployed in Venezuele to prop him up. That would put a nice dent in the morale of the Cuban KGB, and the cut-off of oil to Cuba would help put the nail into that coffin.
