Then again, doing something during this gathering may be one of the dumbest things they could do…. We the People continue to set NICS records every month…
But on the other hand, a terrorist attack at this event would be used by the bad guys as yet another excuse for disarming the intended victims.

Me, I don’t like crowds in the first place. But a part of me says, if you choose to not do something because of the possibility of somebody doing something bad, then at some level the terrorists have won.

There are some strategies for trying to stay safe in an environment like that. Unfortunately the tactics for avoiding being killed by explosive devices, for instance, and escaping rifle fire, tend to be at least somewhat mutually exclusive.

On one hand, as Boris points out, if you don’t go to these things because something bad might happen, on some level the terrorists (and the Biden Administration) have won. On the other hand, nothing productive is going to come of this demonstration; it’s not going to change any minds on foreign policy as it relates to Israel and/or Hamas, you KNOW they’re going to be collecting all cell phone transmissions and facially scanning every person who shows up, and the conditions are ripe for either a terrorist-type attack or overzealous “police” action.

And it’s in Washington, D.C., so carrying any sort of defensive firearm is not an option. (Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if they set up checkpoints and require pat-down searches to attend the thing.)
A good shot using a very quiet 22LR like an integrally suppressed rifle could weed out a lot of the leaders in such a mob. If they selected the appropriate location they would have a good chance of getting away scot free… especially if they used a take down rifle that could be easily concealed. Add in a brass catcher and a 25 round magazine and you could wreak havoc in under a minute and then scoot. If I could think of doing this plenty of others could think of it also…including Fed GlowBois.
