Congrats. The second copy is a nice touch. One thing I like about Texas DL and handgun permit (CHL) is that both say “VETERAN” on them. This after having a permit in Kalifornia for almost 20 years (Butte County).
Damn, mine is $25. The only nice thing about the cheesy paper ones we had before is you could copy them to your heart’s content and they were still legal.
North Carolina needs to fix their shit.
Alabama: $50 for 5 years. Plastic card with picture on it printed while I wait.
North Carolina: $97 for 5 years. Laminated paper. No picture. 4 week processing time.
Indiana, free for lifetime. Just pay 12 something for fingerprints. Plastic card in 2-3 weeks.
