The only reason I have doubts is 2 decades worth of experience with Florida Man.
A frigging chainsaw in carry on luggage? And yes, it is a carry on luggage intercept. This is their next tweet
With so much BS coming out the Feds, I do have the feeling this is not a case of the stupid. It may not be the case, but I am done giving the benefit of the doubt.
If this is what they intercepted, I have to wonder what got through?
I bet if you turn the “grenade” over you will find its hollow… gotta luv the tiny blue “glock”. Its prob a toy or a cigarette lighter… a bunch of maroons showin granma how they keepin her safe just before they stick thier hands in her granny panties…
Yeah, not counting the chainsaw and gas; the baseball bat, indian club, fly rod case and ratchet handle all seem to be common everyday items I may be carrying around.
All of those items look surprisingly pristine. Almost like they’ve never been used or handled before. Almost as if they were just recently purchased.
And WTF brand of chainsaw is a “Coocheer”??? Harbor Freight??
Sold on Amazon.
OK, I understand novelty knives a bit. Sometimes, it is just cool looking. But… a knife with a revolver shaped handle? That is an invitation for a self inflicted injury. I cannot imagine how that could be used in any way at all.
Why in the world would anyone think it is a good idea to carry that kind of knife on a plane, forget carrying it at all? Seriously, about half of that stuff I could imagine someone having in a backpack or duffel that you use for whatever reason. Then forgetting to take it out before flying. But, a gun shaped knife? No possible use outside of “look how cool this is.”
I support the opinion that this is a faked display of recently purchased ( by TSA) items.
There’s also about a 100% chance that if any of those items made it on board, NOTHING bad would happen
“Prohibited items”. IOW, dont bring them on a plane. It is clearly posted at all commercial airports, many times, with obvious overhead announcements telling you not to do it. Come on people, we have been doing this for nearly 2 decades with the TSA, and longer with airport security before 9/11. If you havent gotten the message by now you deserve to have your junk taken. The 9/11 hijackers used box cutters, does anyone seriously think that someone using brass knuckles are any less dangerous? If you dont like the rules, then drive, or hire a private aircraft, or freaking walk. No one is forcing you to contract with a commercial air carrier to get to your destination.
As I wrote above, I think this is faked.
Confiscated. Left behind. Tomato, tomahto. Shmucks. And liars.
Anecdotally, I was allowed to carry on my chainsaw on Jet Blue. 8>)
