AOC: We need to ‘slow down’ on bail reform fixes

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez says the jury is still out on bail reform.

“What I would just say is that we should just give this time. It’s been five minutes,” AOC told The Post when asked if the controversial new law needed to be amended.

There’s a very strong campaign coming from a lot of different interests to roll them back,” she said. “I’m sure that there’a a lot of money with the bail bond industry, a lot of folks make a lot of money on cash bail, and I think that this is a well-funded campaign.”

See, it’s not that criminals are getting arrested for their 139th time and being let out again, or that violent offenders are assaulting and attacking people by the day and can’t be held in prison.  Or that the Squeegee Men are back and NYC has descended into recidivist chaos.

Nope, it’s the greedy bail bondsmen who want to profit off the police abuse of POC.

Both Andrew Cuomo and Bill de Blasio want bail reform amended because in a very short time it has fully turned NYC into a pre-Giuliani shit hole, but the de facto leader of the Democrats wants to pump the brakes on restoring an iota of sanity to that city.

I fundamentally do not understand why, but the Democrats love violent criminals more than you.
