About a month ago I covered a story on Frontier Airlines where they kicked an Orthodox Jewish family off a flight because the children were not wearing masks.  Little children, as in within the age range that is exempted for mask mandates.

Spirit Air, another shitty discount airline, has decided to do the same thing.

In this particular case, it is being reported that a male flight attendant was also kicked off the flight because he was the one who initially targeted the Jewish family for ejection and had the female flight attendant do the job for him.

The female flight attendant addressed the family on behalf of the male steward who didn’t want them on the plane.

‘I’m sorry. They want you off,’ the flight attendant tells the family, adding that they were ‘noncompliant with the masks’.

The girl’s parents responded that they have been wearing their masks when the attendant pointed to their daughter and said: ‘She’s not wearing one.’

Other passengers sitting nearby immediately pointed out to the flight attendant that there were other babies not wearing masks. They also pointed to the fact that the little girl was eating yogurt while waiting for takeoff.

This seems to be a clear-cut case of anti-Semitism.  The male flight attendant ignored the no mask under two years old and no mask while eating exemptions, as well as other children without masks to target the Jewish family for humiliation and ejection.

This is not the first time Spirit Airlines has had an antisemite problem.  Almost a year ago a male flight attendant got into a fight with a Jewish couple over a car seat they intended to use on the plane for their infant daughter.

This is legal and recommended by the FAA, by the way.  When I flew with my infant children, we used FAA-compliant car seats for them.  Baby in arms for a cross-country flight is bullshit.

The flight attendant called them “retarded Jews” and called 911 on them.  The family is suing Spirit Airlines.

This is a giant clusterfuck and we have a few documented cases of openly Jewish families being targeted by airline employees over children and masks.

We’ve been hearing a lot about how Trump and his “china virus” is responsible for all the anti-Asian violence but nothing about how Cuomo, DeBlasio, and an internet full of antisemites have spread the slander that Jews are responsible for the spread of COVID in the US.

And the fact that that airline employees have been given de facto law enforcement powers – yes, I’ve heard flight attendants say that it’s a federal offense to argue with a flight attendant – this opens the door for antisemites to go on power trips on airplanes.

I guess for Jewish families if they chose to fly they are going to have to start hiding their children in the overhead compartment to keep them safe from the mask Nazis.
