Are you from the generation that went to concerts where the music was so good, you needed not be distracted by a two hour fancy light show, special effects and dancing monkeys?
I’ll go to my grave blaming MTV for forcing music to have a visual element and be it more important than anything else. Even super prog band Yes got fed up and released a video I reckon they were contracted to make, but did not spend much time in front of the camera doing it
