Where a Hispanic Catholic, and a Computer Geek write about Gun Rights, Self Defense and whatever else we can think about.

Semi-retired like Vito Corleone before the heart attack. Consiglieri to J.Kb and AWA. I lived in a Gun Control Paradise: It sucked and got people killed. I do believe that Freedom scares the political elites.

That’s worse performance than the home-made wax slugs I had that nobody except me was even willing to fire.
(they work fine, by the way. Tumbling is kind of expected with something like that.)
Every slug keyholed even though fired from a rifled bore.

However, we’ve had so many squibs with this ammunition and were able to observe the slug pushed out of the barrel at low velocity by the primer alone, that we didn’t have to worry about it obstructing the bore.
Are the primers that powerful, or could this be a sign, when paired with the keyholing, that the slug isn’t encountering the amount of friction resistance you’d expect if it were properly engaging the rifling?
Just a question.
And I’d be pissed, too. Especially when good ol’ 00 buckshot is available at around $1 per round, or less if you buy in bulk. These are, what? $30-40 for 5 rounds!? The man is touching off $65 worth of ammo in 10 seconds, and it’s not even full-auto!
