It seems John Kerry alongside many Gaia-loving idiots do not understand the need for CO2 to maintain life in our planet. But then again the closest they get to analyze plants is the taste of their kale salads.

If I understand correctly, carbon dioxide (CO2) is the “unit” by which green house gases are measured. As in freon has a greenhouse gas level of (I don’t know…) 300 times that of carbon dioxide. (Please correct me on that front.)
Those of us that actually ask questions of scientists, and try to expand our knowledge know and understand that “reducing carbon” does not mean removing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere is a realistic goal. We recognize that it means cut back on other greenhouse gasses so that our overall “carbon dioxide” burden is reduced. Using my (admittedly) incorrect ratio from above, if we remove one molecule of freon from the atmosphere, it will be like removing 300 CO2 molocules.
Therefore, reducing atmospheric CO2 is not really reducing the actual CO2 in the air.
However, I have zero confidence Kerry, Greta, or A-hole-C know or understand that distinction. They probably actually believe that climate change will be halted of there is no more CO2.

Found some info. Apparently Nitrous Oxide has 298 times the green house gas effect as CO2.

They don’t mean any of that. What they mean is that we must reduce humanity to a mass living in poverty and an elite management class living in luxury.
These people do not understand science nor do they want to. For example there is more forest land in the United States now than 100 years ago. The ugly truth is that if you believe in human caused global warming in order to stop it the world would have to immediately cease all carbon emissions going to levels from 300 years ago. Modern society globally cannot sustain of that and the human population would decrease by over 90% in a few years as they all die of starvation.
But when your goal is the extermination of all human life in the United States as well as the entire human population on the planet not far left and elite and view the death of over 90 to 95 percent of all human life on the planet as a good thing they won’t or don’t see the problem. They can’t because due to them thinking they are always right they believe that if they implement these policies and kill off over 6.5 billion people if not more that they are correct, morally justified and it was the right thing to do. Like I said I don’t think there are words to actually properly describe these people as that goes far beyond genocidal.
… more forest land… definitely. NH is a perfect example. In the late 19th century it was more than 80% cleared (farm land mostly). By now it’s at least 80% forest, after all the farmers gave up on plowing rocks and moved to Kansas where they have proper dirt. Old photos make this very clear, as do all the stone walls (old field boundaries) you see running through the forests.
There’s an old panoramic photo of the Cincinnati skyline from the 1860s — there are a handful of heavily-pruned trees in the photo. The eastern-most hill in the photo (Mt. Adams) is bereft of trees. A modern photo shows trees everywhere, and you can’t see the streets on Mt. Adams for the trees.

And that 200 to 400 ppm of CO2 keeps the entire Earth from turning into an iceball from the poles to the equator.

I would take these warmists a lot more seriously if any of them could come up with an explanation of why it was as warm around 1100 AD as it is now — without industrial CO2 sources anywhere — never mind the fact that it was significantly warmer in the days of Julius Caesar without industry and with a much smaller earth population. Oh yes, and while you’re at it, explain ice ages.
We know “climate change” has existed for as long as there has been an atmosphere. Why, other than a desire to destroy the democratic nations of the world, make all this fuss over that natural process now?
