  1. I daw a documentary last night, that exposed the destruction of Dresden actually killed about 25,000 people. The Nazi propaganda machine said that the “terror bombing” killed 250,000 civilians, and railed about the evil allies. Meanwhile, the bastards were killing 6 million Jews.
I had always read the death toll was the higher number, so I’m glad to hear that the Dresden bombing was not as bad as I thought.
Just a fact that I found interesting.

  2. When I think about the many brilliant people who were survivors of the Holocaust, or the offspring of survivors, I wonder just how much better off the world would be if there were no Nazis and no WW2.

  3. Some years back I knew a gentleman who survived that hole only because he had a skill the Nazis could use. The rest of his family wasn’t so lucky.

  4. I just finished Otto Carius’ journal of his time in the war. I was amused what a whiny bitch he turned into at the end, calling the US Army that was beating his ass all sorts of names because they didn’t fight like the Russians.
