Orange County deputies say a man accused of shoplifting from a Walmart has died after being shot by a customer who stepped in to help.Deputies say the 19-year-old suspect died at the hospital after being found a Citgo gas station with gunshot wounds.The shooting happened outside the Walmart Neighborhood Market on Clarcona Ocoee Road.Deputies say the the 19-year-old suspect and three other people were stealing baby items from the store.

But by now, we have learned to look deeper:
As an employee confronted the three alleged thieves in the parking lot, a customer saw the incident and went to help the employee. When one of the alleged thieves reportedly made a move like he was reaching for something, the customer pulled his gun and fired several shots at the suspected diaper thief

And you know, that is not even the whole info, you have to go to the video and transcript to find what the “journalists” missed, possibly on purpose:

So what we had was a gang of criminals who chose to risk their lives for 2 carts full of merchandise and a carjacked vehicle, made threatening moves against somebody who was armed and got rewarded by one of them ending in the coroner’s slab. Not quite the sob story of a poor father desperate to get diapers for his baby and mowed down by a racist NRA member. OK, I am exaggerating a bit, but you know that is what they were going for.

I can see why that movie doesn’t air on the standard TMC, FMC, AMC run schedule.
It’s called “organized retail crime” and it’s a huge problem. They would have sold what they stole to a fence who would re-sell it to little store-front operations who sell it for just below actual retail. The store owner knows the stuff is hot — some of it comes in labeled for big chains like Wal-Mart — but doesn’t care.
Sometimes the re-seller “refurbishes” perishables by putting new expiration dates on them. Don’t trust discount baby formula, for example.
And some of the cash — and goods — goes overseas to support terrorism.
