“Don’t stick that knife in the wall socket.”
“Why not?
“Duh! You will get shocked.”
“But this is a House of God.”
“So?”
“I’ll be fine.”
“Seriously, don’t stick that knife in the wall socket.”
(Sticks knife in wall socket, gets major shock)
“What was that! That cannot happen!”
“What do you mean? You stuck a knife in an outlet.”
“But this is the House of God. I was told I am safe here.”
“Being in the House of God means you can ignore reality?”
“I am not supposed to be hurt. My hand hurts bad.”
“You are a dumbass. You were warned.”
“You are mean. You are blaming me for my injury.”
“Why don’t you try again? This time use your mouth to stick the knife?”
The Church is the people- a church building is just a building.
Neither one will protect your dumb ass from shoving a fork into an electrical outlet.
Old Arab proverb: “Trust in Allah, but tie your camel.”
You need to add the line,
“It’s the knife’s fault I got shocked!” in there somewhere.
