   Yeah longer barrels develop more velocity, but it doesn’t do anything magical to a pistol caliber. It’s still a pistol as far as a backstop is concerned, you’ll just be more accurate with it.

3. To be fair to the first conversation, it’s a lot easier to just say “No rifles at the pistol range” than to trust every potential customer to know the difference between rifle and pistol calibers. Otherwise, you’ll get people asking the difference between a .22 LR and a .223.

4. Or if you are the duty RO, having to explain to every third Bubba that comes in that, NO you can’t shoot your 300 Winny Mag rifle on the pistol line just because the guy two stalls down from you is shooting a KelTek Sub 2000 in 9mm and it looks like a rifle…..
