Earlier this month I wrote a post I love the new Pride flag, the unintentional messaging is spot on.
In the original rainbow pride flag, none of the colors represented race. But identity politics being what they are, the Left added black and brown stripes to represent black and brown LGBT people.
Now that is coming for the American Flag.
For Juneteenth, America needs a new flag that all of us can honor
Before I get into this, let’s go over the American Flag.
Today the flag consists of 13 horizontal stripes, seven red alternating with six white. The stripes represent the original 13 Colonies and the stars represent the 50 states of the Union. The colors of the flag are symbolic as well; red symbolizes hardiness and valor, white symbolizes purity and innocence, and blue represents vigilance, perseverance and justice.
In the vexillology of the American Flag, white has nothing to do with race.
But that doesn’t stop the Left.
President Biden, Madame Harris and members of Congress: the American flag has been hijacked as code for a specific belief. God bless those believers, they can have it. Like the Confederate, it is tattered, dated, divisive, and incorrect. It no longer represents democracy and freedom. It no longer represents ALL of us. It’s not fair to be forced to honor it. It’s time for a new flag.
Incorrect? Let’s look to the stars. There are 50, where there should be 52. D.C. and Puerto Rico have been lobbying for statehood for decades. Both have been denied, since statehood would allow each territory’s elected officials seats in the house.
Assuming D.C. reps would be African-American and Puerto Rican reps would be Hispanic, the ultimate assumption is that these elected officials would be Democratic. That alone is racist.
On to the stripes. The Smithsonian documents that the “white” stripes represent purity and innocence. America is great. It is beautiful. Pure, it ain’t. It is broken and in pieces.
What if the stripes were OFF-white? What if there were 52 stars to include D.C. and Puerto Rico? What if the stars were the colors of ALL of us — your skin tone and mine — like the melanin scale? The blue square represents vigilance and perseverance; and the red stripes stand for valor. America is all of those things. So, what if those elements on the flag remained? What if the flag looked like this?
That flag looks like what a Woke middle school art teachers would have zir class do for flag day.
The American Flag still represents all of us. The original Civil Rights marchers marched under the banner of the American Flag.
It’s the modern Left and their desire to sow division who say it doesn’t represent all of us.
If white represents purity and innocence, the sole purpose of making the stripes off-white is to show that our purity has been contaminated. It is literally a desecration.
DC is not a state, nor should it be. Our Founding Fathers didn’t want it to be, they wanted it to be a Federal District not beholden to a state. The only reason to make DC a state is to guarantee Democrat Senators. If the issue is Congressional representation, give it back to Maryland and give Maryland another seat in the House of Representatives.
Puerto Rico needs to be granted independence and made a sovereign nation. Hurricane Maria proved that they are at banana republic level corruption and granting them statehood would be a disaster.
Adding the melanin scale would be the worst possible idea. First, drawn above, it wouldn’t show skin color by proportional representation which would be immediate contention. That leads to the bigger question of who is represented by which color? How does that represent Asians, or are Asians supposed to share the light color with White people, and does that make them White-adjacent? What about Native Americans?
Putting race on the flag will only cause more division and more racism. It won’t make it more inclusive, it will make it more divisive.
This is possibly the worst idea that could be done to the American Flag.
I said creating a Black Independence Day and a White Independence Day was a bad idea.
This says “this part of the flag is mine and that part of the flag is yours.”
We are spiraling into being the next Balkans where ethnicity, religion, and associated politics cause a genocidal civil war and eventual national breakup.

Well.
If the Stars and Stripes is to be banished from Juneteenth, maybe we need to fly a different flag? A well-known one? Like, from the opposing side in a certain conflict?
You don’t hardly ever see that flag on display in this part of Tennessee. U.S. of A., sure. Thin Blue Line, often. Gadsden, also fairly often. The other one, no.
If I see that other flag cropping up, I’ll know sentiments are changing, and not for the better.
Apparently “our betters” cannot differentiate aspiration from description.
The “white represents purity…” Is aspiration. As is the pledge’s “…with liberty and justice for all.”
But… white is racist.
Seriously, this is the inevitable outcome of teaching children that what they are has some socioeconomic value, and what the do does not have any value.
And, when you have generations of infantile thinkers that are convinced as a matter of faith that their skin color is paramount, they ARE offended by a color. That not having a star with their exact skin tone somehow means the flag is oppressing them.
What is also interesting is that white people are not offended by the flag. No humans are pure white, even the Nordic countries are not pure snow white skin. Which means the white stripes, and the white stars do not even represent the oppressive white supremacists.

I’m not sure about D.C., but I know that only some Puerto Ricans have been trying for statehood. It has been voted on several times and always loses. IIRC, the argument is that they get virtually all of the regular benefits of statehood but don’t pay income tax.
As everyone with a pulse know, PR and DC statehood is all about getting Democrat majorities. They say so much in their statement, they just lie about the rest.

Projection is seemingly the most common pathology among leftists.
Just like the fabled, unrealized, “blood in the streets” due the off the leash knuckle dragging him owners.
The the last census conducted by the government of Puerto Rico, circa 2010, 75.8% of residents identified themselves as “White.”
