18 Year Old Threw Explosive At Portland Courthouse Faces Up To 30 Years In Prison

An 18-year-old man, Isaiah Maza Jr. is accused of lighting a fuse on an explosive and tossing it through the broken front glass of the Mark O. Hatfield United States Courthouse around 1:46 a.m. on July 22nd, according to federal prosecutors, NYPost reported.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office in Oregon. said that Maza Jr. ripped plywood off the front glass panes of the federal courthouse in downtown Portland and then lit a fuse on an explosive before tossing it through the broken glass injuring a deputy U.S. marshal. The prosecutors stated that Maza injured both of the deputy U.S. Marshal’s legs.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Gary Sussman described Maza as a “very dangerous man” who was caught on video lighting the fuse, dropping the hand-sized explosive device inside the lobby of the courthouse “and then watching with his cellphone for the explosion.”

If convicted of assaulting a federal officer with a dangerous weapon Maza could face up to 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. In addition, willfully damaging government property is punishable by up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

Boy howdy.

Isaiah here is 18 years old and has daddy issues.  He thought he would run off to downtown Portland to LARP as a socialist revolutionary.

Had he stuck to throwing fireworks at Portland PD, he’d probably just gotten a slap on the wrist.

Instead, he threw a homemade bomb into a federal building and hurt a federal officer, and the feds to not fuck around with shit like that.

This is his mugshot.

Oh, the glory.  The attempt at a tough scowl belied by the tears and vacant expression in his eyes.

That is a face screaming “I done fucked up real bad.”

He knows what his future is.

He going to be sent to a maximum-security federal penitentiary for a long damn time, where he is going to be fresh meat for hardened criminals.

Actual seasoned tough-guys are going to be trading his 18-year-old butthole all over the pen for Ramen noodles and snack cakes.

He deserves it.

Spread the love
