When the word “expecting” is used in the context of babies, it is implied that we have on of the duo in actual pregnancy and ready to bring a creature to this world.
But what this is is announce to the world they are cooking supper for the family but in reality what people get is pizza delivered from the available neighborhood franchise. Throwing a credit card payment there does not constitute culinary skills and the same principle applies for expecting a child.
Diggin’ it. In general, I would rather have a child raised by 2 loving parents of either or both genders. Still, I am uncomfortable with this concept of “baby take-out”. To be fair, while I understand the desire to propagate one’s DNA, I’m also uncomfortable with opposite sex couples using another woman’s uterus to grow their baby. I just don’t understand how a woman can agree to be a surrogate.
Maybe it’s the money. I’ve seen billboards in the Dallas/Fort Worth area offering $60K for surrogates.
@RufusJ: Wow!! I had no idea.
